You may have a problem here. The early Kyocera printer had a problem with the developer unit. You can try and clean the developer unit but be careful. First you will need a can of air. The kind you use to dust off your keyboard and such. Then you should have a oil-less dust towel like a Stretch and Dust. First LIGHTLY dust the excess toner off the developer unit. I MEAN LIGHTLY. If you spray the air full blast in to the developer unit you will not only make a huge mess but you may also roll back a mylar in the unit making it worthless. Just lightly pull back the trigger on the canned air until you get a slight amount of air flow. Just enough to blow away the top layer of toner. Then using the stretch and dust wipe off the rest of the toner it should be in the same shape as the tracks on your document. Do Not Touch the metal roller with your hands, the oils on your fingers are enough to make the problem worse. Be careful if you roll the developing unit, make sure you are not pulling the toner out of the unit. If you are you are rolling it the wrong way. Some will only go one way. If after you clean the entire roller and the problem comes back, try cleaning it again. If it still persists then you may need a new developer unit and possibly a drum unit. Kyocera FS-1020D starts print 1/2 way down page

Internal tests like Report Prints are printed correctly? Make sure the Paper Size Format is setted correctly both on PC and Printer. Try not to use a Generic or Universal Printer Driver. Try installing printer with an Windows Vista driver if the Win7 and 8 drivers won't solve the problem.

Why is the kyocera fs-c5100dn print smudging

If the final product is smudging after it prints out the fuser unit is not working and the toner is not fused to the paper. Also the paper should be warm when it prints out.
If it is during the printing you may have loose toner in the printer that is contaminating the print process.

Kyocera printing very slow

Has it always been slow, or is that a recent development? At its fastest, the FS-2000 only prints 31 pages per minute, and that's for regular single-sided 8.5" x 11" with no special requirements. Anything else will (thick paper, longer paper, duplexing, etc.) will slow the print speed down.

One thing you can try to speed up the print speed is to change your spool options in the print driver. Go into the print driver (Control Panel > Printers & Faxes, right click on the FS-2000 and select Properties) and find where the spool options are located. Try selecting different spool options (such as waiting to send the job until all the pages have spooled, or sending it page by page) to see if any of them affect printing speed.

There are other options in the print driver's properties which could affect printing speed as well. Look around the different tabs and try changing some of the options to see if they make any difference.

You can also go to and download and install the newest version of the print driver, which might speed up processing as well.

Hope that helps!

My printer is flaking. i am printing a heavy color image on a kyocera fs c8026n. any help?

If by "flaking" you mean that the print is rubbing or flaking off then there are 2 possibilities. If you are using thicker than standard 20lb bond paper then when setting up the print job make sure you are selecting thick paper on your paper setting. This is a common problem if your paper is thicker, shiny or anything other than standard.
The other possibility would be a fuser defect of some type. But that would tend to affect standard black and white prints as well.
Try the thick paper setting as it will slow down the paper speed thru the fuser and will "fix" the toner to the paper better.

Kyocera fs-1030d wont print frames on MSWORD2000

wrong... the kyocera only prints what you send to it... you need to go into your print settings and make the adjustments so it can print frames borders/ shadings... this has been my experience with explorer and photoshop... not very much fun but necessary...

the 2000 part relates to a laser unit problem the other numbers are the print count.

You will need to have this serviced by a tech and if you are a tech you will need to order a new laser unit

Huge Margin with Kyocera FS 1000+

If the FS-1000 prints too far down the page or leave too much top margin or leaves a gap at the top of the page etc (<- for google searches). This is a problem with the felt pads on the three solenoids/clutch electro magnets that are under the right panel (2 under the engine/button board, 1 under the inner plastic cover, sometimes 4 in total on other kyocera printers). They get compressed over time meaning the metal leavers come into contact with the solenoid meaning they are released too slowly. Simply replace the felt pads with .5mm cardboard or another non-sticky non-metallic material. Too thick and it prints too far up the page.
