Question about Dell OptiPlex 330 Desktop Desktop Computer
Either the computer isn't starting up or there's a problem with the video. It's pretty common for a computer to come on when you press the power button, but not actually start running.
Do you hear the sounds that go along with a normal startup? Most computers give a beep when they successfully complete power-on testing (POST). Does this happen? You will usually hear hard drive activity, and on most computers there's an indicator showing disk access. Is the light flashing? Most importantly, do you ever hear the Windows startup sound that means it's up and running? If this is all happening, your computer is working except for the video. On systems with integrated video (that is, built into the motherboard), problems usually are detected at POST time and result in error beep codes, but not always. If you have a separate video card plugged it, it may have failed.
If the computer isn't starting up you'll need to get that problem solved. It may be a power supply or motherboard problem, or problems with any of the parts connected to the motherboard. If you don't feel comfortable working on the computer yourself, there should be servicers available in your area who can check it over and make a repair estimate. Otherwise, disconnect everything from the motherboard except for the power supply, memory and processor, and then try starting the computer. If it starts normally, you'll know the trouble is in one of the disconnected parts, and you can start reconnecting pieces until the problem returns. If the computer still isn't starting with that minimum configuration, the power supply, motherboard or processor itself has failed.
Good luck with the repair, and thanks for using Fixya!

This is an indication that you may need to replace your video card.
Hope this helps. :)
