One year back i poured water by accident in my laptop's in-built key board and instantly the machine shut down i tried to turn it on in vain. few weeks later i took it to a computer shop for repair and they told me that it's a motherboard problem that i have to buy a new one or else buy a new laptop. till now i haven't yet found the compatible motherboard because i don't know it's specification and i think it might have more problems now for it's been 1year without using it. so what should i do to get it back on track?

Water damaged Laptop

Attaching an external keyboard does not help because the keyboard controller is damaged.
I recommend you put your money towards a new laptop as the cost of repair maybe too expensive or beyond repair. Most computer repair shop charge for a quote and may drop this charge if you go ahead with the repair.
If the hard disk is OK then I suggest you remove it from the laptop and insert it into an USB hard drive adapter case and use it as an external USB hard drive for backups and data transfer etc.

I am not getting any water into my dishwasher

Is the faucet turned on? You must have a pinched hose or some sort of blockage. You might have to replace with hose. Check for water leaks in the back. If this is a built in washer, get it out right away. That water is going somewhere!

Mower has had little use. Started instantly when used a few years ago. Stored in back shed for some years. When tank was filled today, fuel poured out of the ail cleaner until tank was dry. Primed bulb...

It sounds like the float in the carburetor bowl is stuck down allowing fuel to pass through. If you can locate it, remove the bowl under the carb after shutting the gas off or emptying the tank, clean the bowl so the float can go up and down and try again.

GE washer wont drain or spin, lid switch has been replaced and so has the timer. At the start of cycle it fills and aggitates properly.

If the machine tries to spin for a few seconds and shuts down because the tub is full of water, then - The first thing I would do is check the pump. You may have something blocking the pump or the pump could have failed. Newer models built within the last 10 - 15 years must drain their water down first before they are able to spin.

The carafe dribbles coffee when pouring.

This has been a problem with many carafes. I tried something I saw on a home show once, and it works, but... it may seem weird and undesirable. Unless you pour just the tiniest stream, the liquid wants to stay with the pot, you see. It will be attracted along the spout back down the pot, causing the dribble.

Put just a tiniest smear of shortening or oil on the pouring lip, and the problem will instantly disappear.

You've already guessed the undesirable part of this, right? Yep. It doesn't last for long because the hot water cuts through the film after a few pours. And, who wants Crisco in their coffee?

I didn't notice anything different with my coffee when I tried it. Probably not enough grease to make that much difference.

But the "back-drip" ended pronto.

Frigidaire Gallery washer is flooding the house

Try turning water faucets off. Does it still flood when done? Does your drain hose empty into stand pipe that is at least 30 inches from floor? Make sure drain hose does not go anymore than a few inches into pipe. If it is pushed too far in, unit can syphon water back into unit.

Help....we poured some water into the bean grinder/container

You have to take off the bean hopper, turn the ring on grinder anticlockwise to you see the claque. Take out the middle off the grinder and clean everything carefully.

After that you have to put it back again, when you have the middle off the grinder back you turn the ring clockwise to the end, after that you turn it anticlockwise 14 "tick".

I put laundry soap in the dryer by accident

DO NOT pour water down the lint filter of a dryer! This could have catastrophic results. There are live voltages present in a dryer even with the power shut off. You have a blower fan and a motor in the air baffle. Pouring water in there will definitely damage something (if the soap hasn't already). Detergent is a corrosive and will damage anything electrical and any painted surface if left too long. I hate to say it, but you must open the dryer up and remove the air baffle and clean it out thoroughly. Unplug the machine before you attempt. You need to wipe up all the soap residue with rags. You will need to let me know if the dryer has a lint filter on the top of the machine, or in the door before I can suggest how to disassemble. This will make a big difference in the amount of effort required to correct this. Post me back with the info...
