Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Remove transfer belt from printer. Remove the tow screws and open the black shiney plastic plate on the side with the BLUE POST STICKING OUT. Remove the Two screws and the black shiney plate from the side with the GREEN post. On the green side there is a chrome silver metal strip overhanging the cover bar. remove it by lifting it in a sliding manner toward the crossbar that straddles the belt across the bottom of the transfer assembly. Remove the four screws and remove the crossbar. Spin the belt forward or backward untill you see a tiny window inside the edge of the tranfer belt itself Clean both sides of the window with a q-tip with a light alcohol. also, there is an optical gap device on the bottom of the blue side. one screw will remove the entire assembly. there is powdered toner stuck in the optical gap on the receiver side. Blow it out anyway you can. high pressure works good. Dont use heat at all or the powder will magically turn into hard plastic and you will never be able to remove it. then re assemble the unit and make sure the little window aligns with the optical gap assembly that is hiding under the crossbar. Problem solved.

Transfer belt unit EEPROM error No response is issued from the device in reading/writing for 5 ms or more and this problem is repeated five times successively. Mismatch of reading data from two locations occurs eight times successively.
Mismatch between writing data and reading data occurs eight times successively
1. Poor contact in the connector terminals.
- Check the connection of connector YC28 on the engine PWB and the connector of the transfer belt unit, and the continuity across the connector terminals. Repair or replace if necessary.
2. Defective transfer belt speed PWB (inner transfer belt unit).
- Replace the transfer belt unit.
I hope this is helpful,
