it could be an electrolytic capacitor or the vertical output I.C. in the vertical circuitry,if you remove the rear cover tap on the board in different places and see if the picture fills out or atleast jitters like it might fill out, then it could be just a cold solder joint, then remove the main board and resolder all joints and this should repair the condition you have

I have a Sanyo and it has a horizontal line in the middle with no picture, but with sound. what could be the problem? I have noticed that if we tap the side or top of the TV, the picture resumes;; but now...

You have a frame collapse, if you had previously been tapping it to come on then it sounds as if there is a dry solder connection most probably on the frame IC or surrounding component. If you are competent with the use of a soldering iron, then remove the back & gain access to the underside (circuit print board) of the TV. Look for an IC that is attached to a heat sink & carefully resolder the pin connections. Look closely at the surrounding solder connections & if any of them look dry then re-solder them also. Without knowing the model of your TV then I can't be more precise as to the specific component location. If you do not want to attempt this then a local repair shop should be able to easily fix it for you.

Panasonic CT-32G6E Intermittent single horizontal line

I would suggest to locate a part that looks like the one on this link and re solder all the pins, also check for any high power resistor nearby the IC295890 and put some fresh solder.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Horizontal blue line

The intermittent horizontal line is cause by a loose solder connection in the vertical amplifier IC.
The IC is mounted on a heatsink nearby or around the flyback transformer.
The way to fix this failure is to add fresh solder where you see some brown spots on the circuitry that were cause by components getting hot.
Good Luck.

There is a module called a hyper board that is vertically mounted near the jack panel. Inside the module are 10mf/25v capacitors they are grtting weak. The module is fully shielded and pluggs into a socket. the module has 4 tabs (2 on each end) that must be unsoldered before it can be unplugged. This repair should be done by a qualified technician. The caps are surface mounts and very small. Unless you have excellent soldering skills and a rock steady hand DO NOT ATTEMPT to repair this problem on your own.
