If you're absolutely certain about the battery being fully charged, you may want to check the connections at the battery and the starter. A good cleaning and tightening of all the electrical connections may get the engine to turn over.

I have a 1996 toyota previa, starter just spins, replaced starter, now it makes a grinding sound. Checked flywheel-can turn it with screw drive.Full charge on batt. cables are good, connections tight.???

Check the housing the starter goes into sounds like the teeth that the starter locks into have been destroyed.
This would mean it is just spinning inside with the new starter, it is probably just not worn like the old one would have been so it is probably just touching hence the grinding.

Try to start my suzuki grand vitara v6 and the motor won't fully turn over. But the starter is doing its job, and there's full power inside vehicle.

Even if you have power the starter is not getting enough cold cranking amps to fully turn the starter.
Charge or jump battery.
This can also be caused by dirty batt cable connections clean them at batt if not fixed clean and tighten at starter
Hope this helps mike

Starter wont turn engine over

Why did you change the starter in the first place? The battery need a full charge for the starter to operate properly, Need year make and model for more help. If the starter is grinding now and wasn't prior to replacement, it may have to be shimmed or the starter could be defective.

Jeep doesn't start. Turn key, hear slight click in fuse box but nothing else? Took battery out to be checked Pep Boys says its good, needs a "slight" charge. Went home reinstalled the clean...

clean all connections very good ( batt post connectors, gound wire from batt to frame/motor, also clean starter connections, and alternator connections) I know pep boys checked but you cannot properly check a battery unless it has a full charge!!!!! If it wont accept a full charge then batt is bad, If it charges to a full charge and fails a draw test the batt is bad. also when a draw test is done you can have the charging system checked also to make sure batt is recieving the proper charge input. all inexpensive checks, get it running and take it to a garage, 3 min test usually not even a charge most of the time. NOT A DEALER, and have them show you what they are doing. if you are a female have a male friend go with you or have it done. I dont care what anybody says!!!!!! When it comes to a inexperienced female, the DEALERSHIP,the REPAIR GARAGES will all try to get some kind of MONEY out of you before you leave their place of business.

Rv well not start starter well click but well not turn motor over and battery is at full charge

even though the battery can measure a full voltage (which measure a difference in potenual) the battery can still be bad by not being able to provide enough current to the starter to turn motor over. if you have a battery charger that can be used to jump start the car or use jumper cables from another running car and it starts the problem is the batt. if it doesnt start the you have to check if starter is binding up. this could be from engine siezing up or starter binding on fly wheel

New starter good batt. only clicks wont turn over 1995 montero

The Batt does not have a full charge or it is the wrong cranking AMP's for the car... find out if it is the right Batt and also that it is put on a "slow charge" over night or at least 6 hr's
