If you are getting sound to your earphones thru your speaker out, you may need to change your default playback device in sound properties.
Is there a rotary volume control on the side of the laptop that has been turned down?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My dell vostro pp37l turns on to a black screen then beeps twice

Anonymous,
This 2 beep code refers to a memory issue. Try re-seating the memory in their slots to see if that will resolve the issue. Click the link below to choose your system and download the online manual for information on remvoving/replacing parts within your computer.

Dell vostro a860 system or admin password needed

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Click on one of these links to download HIREN'S BOOTCD :- http://www.hirensbootcd.net/ http://67.20.82.163/

Hi i purchased a dell vostro pp37L on ebay and have this laptop home now i opened the back removing the 2 screws to see what size ram gig was in stalled and i noticed what i think is a graphics card with 2...

That card is your wireless card. The card should plug in on the bottom and be secured with screws or clips at the top. there are two connectors on the top of the card. They are small and are gold in color. The wires should have the male part of the connector and should plug in to the connectors by gently pressing them. They should lock in place. If you check the connectors on the card, you may find a color code for the wires. I have found that it really doesn't which goes where as they are made the same.
