Plug your ipod into your computer. Your sync screen will come up. Make sure the boxes are checked next to your songs you want. Press sync, and iTunes will download your songs to your ipod.

I hope this helps. Please rate my solution.

Use Windows Media Player to grab the songs from Limewrie that are stored on your computer, and then transfer the songs from Limewire to the iPod. Finding the songs on your computer is actually the hard part - Limewire stores these songs in a folder, usually called "Limewire Downloads," but Windows Media Player only searches the folder called "my Music" unless you tell it differently. You will actually have to tell Windows Media Player where to look for the Limewire Downloads, since it probably won't find them automatically - would need to go to Microsoft website for instructions on how to do this.

If all of this sounds too hard, try getting a program called Media Monkey instead - it might be a little easier, and it should instantly recognize your IPod for easy transfer.

You need to get ITunes, and then go to your limewire library, select the songs you want and press Enqueue and then press save file, save it to your documents and then go to Itunes, press file, import, then click the file you saved and it will automatically upload all the songs you saved, once your done plug your ipod into the computer and it will open itunes and download the songs to your IPOD

My ipod nano 2g doesnt get recognized by vista anymore

Have you tried connecting it to different USB ports, go into your device manager and Select USB (bus i think it is), at this point have the pod disconnected. When you connect it at the top it gives you the option to refresh and see if their are any changes under USB. It could be a number of things, problem with the USB port, damaged cable, out dated drivers etc.

Ipod nano 4g.

if by the on/off thing do you mean the hold switch?
If you do, make sure it's to the left. If it is to the right it disables the keys. Other than that, to turn on press any button. To turn off hold play for 3-5 seconds.

What I would recommend you to do is fo format your device and then update the firmware on the device..This problem will happen if you have some digital rights management problems on your device...Formatting the device and update the firmware is the only solution to your problem...

Ipod not recognized by computer or itunes

I struggled with this issue for a while and finally found a post that helped me. Hold menu and the center buttons until the iPod turns off. Then, immediately hold the left and center buttons to pull up the iPod diagnostic menu. Scroll down to the option "Reset" and select it. My iPod was finally recognized by iTunes. Good luck :)
