My Canon Selphy 510 has started printing only the top part of the page, the bottom remains white. I have changed printer cartridge but this did not help. Is this something I can fix or does it need professional maintenance?

Hiya Jeannie it sounds like you may have overwinded your ink sheet as that makes it impossible to print to all the paper....hope that helps.

It is because of a split little white pawl on a rod above the cartridge on the right hand side of the printer.
The pawl pushes down the print head and when the pawl splits, it doesn't push down far enough to print on RHS.
I've tried using a tie strap to repair it but it interfers with adjacent parts.

is one of the gear having the problem in the canon selphy cp 760 photo printer ... the last motor gear loses.. just add super gule to it.. due to the gear is loses.. so the print cartridge can`t releass out...and it keep say your cartridge in empty... turn the gear n it free your print cartridge...

now everthings look fine...

Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

remove all the connection go to control pannel printer and default ur Selphy Es1 printer

turns out the wrong paper size was selected in the print setup. I set it to Postcard (4x6) and it began working perfectly again. Hooray.

Did you download and install the proper Vista driver from Canon's website? If not, I would suggest that. If you have, then try opening the device manager and look for the printer. Reinstall the driver and just direct it to look in the proper folder for it.

Hi! I have same problem. I opened cover (4 deep screws at the bottom) and found small plastic gear was separated from stepping motor shaft. I fixed it on shaft and my printer started work again. Today I will try to fix same problem on another CP510. I think same reason. Try to do it. Simple. [email protected]

I had issues like this, and changed to thinner paper. That solved my problem
