Sears/kenmore model 183.94679 4.6 cu ft Refrig comes on at initial start. runs for awhile, then wont come back on only if i turn dial all the way to reset it ?

Can you check that model number please? The one you posted comes up as a refrigerator.

This error code has something to do with a defrost sensor and happened after an extended power outage. I unplugged the refrig and it reset itself!

Sadly these old freezers use way too much electricity. You will be better off junking this one and purchasing a good used or brand new one.
