Question about Computers & Internet

Google window a mess

My google page opens up in such a garbled, uncentered format.  The original format of the page is somehow lost and misconfigurated.  THe words are all practically on top of each other and is just a mess.  I can't get it to close and let me acquire the original page I set up.
What do you think has happened?  Yahoo and all other windows open up just wonderfully.
Thank you for your help.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

You will need to configure an email client (an application you install on your computer) to retrieve emails from your email provider.

Windows operating systems come with email clients pre-installed.
For newer versions such as Windows 7 and 8 you can use windows live mail (You may need to download it
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/essentials-other#essentials=overviewother)

For older version of Windows such as XP you should have "Outlook Express" (Not to be confused with Microsoft Outlook, which is a part of Microsoft Office)

After you decide which email client you would like to use, you can follow the email providers instructions. I'll assume for now you are wanting to check a gmail account since you posted your email address (Please refrain from posting emails on public sites when possible)

For gmail setup instructions you can follow this link to gmails settings page.

https://support.google.com/mail/troubleshooter/1668960?hl=en

Note: You will have to enable the POP / IMAP feature in your gmail settings before any mail will be sent to your client. All this information is covered in the instructions in the link I have provided.

Google

Google is an online service and can not be uninstalled.

However, if you have google chrome installed and wish to remove it you can click the start menu icon (Windows 7 and older) or move your mouse over to the right hand upper corner (windows 8+) then go to settings >> Control Panel >> Programs and features
Find google chrome and click "Change / Remove"
The wording may differ slightly, but this will allow you to remove the application.

If google is showing up every time you open your browser (The application you use to "get online") You can change your start page or home page.
These steps depend on the browser you are using.
For simplicity I have provided a link to a pcworld article covering several browsers. There is an audio ad on the page so do not be alarmed if you hear someone speaking.

I have not been able to get on my gmail account for a week now I can not even change my password. Do you need my gmail address to help me

No need for the Gmail address. What you need to do is head to: https://www.google.com/accounts/recovery?service=mail&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fmail.google.com%2Fmail%2F%3Fui%3Dhtml%26zy%3Dl
and request for the password to be reset, either to another email account, using your security question, or if you can identify yourself.
Thumbs Up!

When I press reply on my hotmail the original message does not transfer to the new page. Therefore it is difficult to reply to the persons questions. I use Firefox.

download Google chrome and run that and firefox at the same time, pull the boxes side by side or get windows 7. Anyway then you can look at the question on right side firefox, and send reply on Google chrome.

Okay – other than improved security (which I hope they are sorting out), what would YOU like to see in the next release of Chrome?

When im on the internet i can open google or anything that uses google to search. iv checked my connection and thats fine. Its the same with my firewall on or off

If you are using Windows Server 2003, the server acts pretty much like a PC running Windows XP. It's up to you to set the security policy so that the server does not act like a PC. As a rule of thumb, don't log into a Server as Administrator unless you really need full control of the machine. E.G., If someone is maintaining adding Active Directory accounts, that's all they need to access.

Ilost my driver, drivers for audio ad LAN: could you please help me acquire such drivers?

Hi

Firstly, try getting the motherboard model and checking the manufacturer's site.

You could try drivergrabber off majorgeeks.com (easily found on google). Alternatively, try googling the device ID's - found by clicking start > run "msinfo32" OK. In that screen, click the [+] next to components and then go to Problem Devices. In that screen, on the right hand side, you will have things written such as PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3A3A - go to google and type in exactly as follows "8086 3A3A" and see what you can find.

Alternatively, if you're running a legitimate copy of Windows, Windows update (if on XP you must install Microsoft Update), can often pull these straight down off the Microsoft servers.
