I have a 50" mitsubishi big screen. It will cut off automatically after 3 seconds of being turned on. I just need to know if it is worth fixing

You did not mention the model. If it is an older WD model they have a known problem with several boards and parts are no longer available. Sometimes, if you are lucky it will be electrolytic capacitors only which can be obtained. Certainly if your unit is one of these models I would not invest any money in it.

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.

For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
