Where can I get an owners manual for a Philips Digital home surround sound system model FR-965 ?

    I'm extermely greatful for the downloadable manual for my digital surround sound unit. I've had it for a couple of years, my father gave it to me, and Ive' not used it because I didn't understand some of the features and how to use the tuner well. Again, thanks alot. Billy R. Nicks

Looks like you need an audio splitter to Left/Right mini plugs.
Such a cable goes from the earphone output on your iPhone to the CD in plugs on the back.
Alternatively you could purchase a bluetooth converter, plug it into your digital input, and pair it with your iPhone.

My philips lx3750w surround sound has optical output why is this as my ps3 also has optical output..so when i connect my ps3 to surround sound i get nothing as you cannot connect optical out to ps3...
You can't EVER connect an output to an output and expect good results.

It has both optical and coaxial digital outputs but just a coaxial digital INput.

I have a new Samsung HD TV with optical out. The LX3000D has also a optical out. How do i get the dolby surround out of mine television? or how can i get the sound of the tv out of the LX3000D?
The digital connectors on this model are outputs only so you won't get surround sound on anything that is transmitted FROM your TV. Don't really understand the point of a digital OUT port on the back of a surround sound system as you're more likely to want stuff going IN.

cross check the audio device settings. check the audio level of each channels.
Also try exchanging the speakers whether the speaker itself is damaged.

CAN ONLY GET THE SURROUND SOUND TO WORK WITH DVD'S NOT WITH NORMAL TV OR SKY?? WHY??
You should have a AUDIO menu in which you can simulate true surround sound. This should be in your owners manual. Your DVD is recorded in dolby surround sound that's why on your set it will be reproduced as recorded. I hope Samsung is using a ATSC tuner in that model?
