If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). Yeah same with mine... the front screen went black.... it started to get lines up and down... then all of a sudden just the front screen turned off! :-(

sounds like ,audio card went died or mite be screen has shorted out try hooking it up an orther screen and see if it boots up if so either viedo screen card or screen it self

No, if the picture of your tv screen is clear when when you watching. the troble of your tv is looseboard, and you replace your CRT socket too.
