Have you tried turning off and restarting the computer?
Do you have a monitor in the house, with the system off, Try plugging in to the monitor using the VGA cable thats attached to the monitor. should be a place on your laptop usually on the back or on the left side of the laptop.
Plug it in then turn on the laptop and see if it displays on the monitor if it does then the motherboard is ok. If it does not then it sounds like you need to take it to your local pc repair shop it could be something as simple as the wires coming undone worst case you will need to replace the screen.
Atleast once you plug it in you will have more ammo when you talk to a local pc repair guy.

When I try to update Bios on Toshiba Satellite A215-S7462 The computer 'locks up' (becomes completely unresponsive), and the computer's display goes blank (turns off).

Hello,

Updating the BIOS usually brings up some problems. It burns the motherboard. I suggest that you contact Toshiba regarding this for warranty support.

Toshiba Satellite A135 S2276 with windows 7 Ultimate

  • Hi, when ever there is a [? mark] next to any of the Components in the "Device Manager" there is a {Problem!} The only solution is to "Uninstall the Hardware Device" and reinstall it. Next your going to have to "Update the Drivers," and restart the computer afterwards. To "reinstall" the "Display Drivers," do the following; open the Start Menu, in the [Start Search Window], Type: toshiba, next scroll to find the [Toshiba Application Installer]. Open the window and "Install" the Display Driver. Restart the Computer after all changes are complete. "Let me know how things worked out for you by giving a "Helpful Rating," and thanks for using Fix' Ya.

Toshiba Laptop approx 3 years old. It fell out of

Please handle your PC with care. Since it fell abt 6 in., it must have some connection problem that will still be repeated as soon as it bangs. If it doesn't work in few days from now, check the HDD it may have caused damage because of the fall. Then if you can open any board, unplug connections from outlets then press soldered connections in the motherboard.
Just a pre-caution. But if it persist, see your supplier's technician.
Thanks

I have a 3 year old Toshiba Tecra M4 Tablet Laptop, and my colors are inverted, anything that should come up black, comes up red. Text is okay, but images just don't look right

It would be oen of three things... in order of cost;

1. LCD Invertor has gone bad
2. SCREEN has gone bad
3. Motherboard has gone bad

In either of the three it would most likely take a toshiba tech to pinpoint exactly the problem and do the repair. Although if you are handy enough you can get the parts and repair it yourself.

Toshiba laptop won't turn on

Several things could cause this problem. Be sure the battery is charged for one. For two, it could be the power supply. If it is the power supply, you will need to bring it into a shop. If it makes any sound or has any light on, the power supply may not be the problem. Good Luck!
