Do you have a disk inside your floppy drive? If you do, remove it and try to boot your computer again.

Do you have a USB hard disk connected? If you do, try disconnecting it first.

If those two things don't work, you will need to have your computer checked by a technician. Maybe there is a problem with the hard disk or with the BIOS configuration (boot sequence).

Good luck!

Msi u100 018us notebook says boot failure-press any key to continue---------and PXE-E61 media test failure check cable-------and PXE-MOF exiting PXE ROM wont let me boot computer can it be the hard drive...

It definetly can be the hard drive and most likely is. If you know how to get into BIOS then I would suggest going in there and seeing if BIOS can detect your HDD. If it cant then it definetly is your HDD. If it is detecting it then you might have a bad sector on the HDD that is corrupting the boot sequence for your operating software.

If BIOS is reading it I would suggest putting in your recovery CD or a fresh install of your operating system and see if it can reinstall to that HDD.

All BIOS system are different so I could not tell you without knowing what BIOS your running how to enter it. You should be able to hit escape for F10 while computer first is starting up to enter BIOS settings if you didnt know how to already. Write back if you have any more questions please or need further instructions or clearification on what ive said.

Receiving but unable to send for approx 14 days. set up on new mail s still unable to send. Message. Protocol SMPT,Port:25,Secure(SSL)No,Error Number Ox800CCCOB

You might check this site: http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3
You did not mention whether you were using antivirus software to send or receive filtered e-mail. I tried looking up your error code-and one common theme I saw was that you should turn it off. It causes problems and does no real good since the high end viruses just send directly from their own code.
However, another thing I saw was that people had errors in their setup.
You imply that this used to work and stopped suddenly. You might still try deleting the mail destination and then re-adding it, insuring that your userid and password are specified correctly, and that you have not inserted any extra spaces, capitalized when you should not, etc.
Finally, open a command line and then enter the command:
telnet yousmtpserver.net 25
where you type the name of your smtp server as specified in your isp's connection stuff.
This to test the ability to reach your ISP's smtp server. See, some ISPs block outbound connections to port 25 - to stop spambots from sending from people's home computer. If it turns out that you can't connect to port 25 on your mail provider's smtp server, sometimes they have an alternate port that you can use. By default the "submission port" (which is only supposed to be used by customers inserting mail initially) is 587, while 25 can be used as a submission port or it can be used by another ISP as they transfer mail to you. So you could try telnetting to port 587 or you could try just specifying 587. But first turn off your anti-virus outbound mail filtering and see if that helps.

I had a problem with updating firmaware for OpenComms

Liebert says there is a known issue when you try to upgrade from 2.200 to 2.400, you are supposed to upgrade to 2.300 first or it will lock up when you connect to the network. You have to call Liebert and ask them to send you the 2.300 firmware. Downgrade the firmware to 2.300. Once you have 2.300 on there you can upgrade the card to 2.400 via the web interface and you won't have to mess with the Xmodem upgrade process again. Make sure you follow their instructions for downgrading, there is an extra .bin file that you have to upload to the card first.

I want change my first boot device as cd rom. my system is ibm p3 slot processor

Restart your computer. When you see the first screen you will have 2 options. One is a BIOS setup. It's either F8 or F1. Once you get into your BIOS (screen will be mostly blue). There will be a boot option screen. Make sure you chance the #1 device to CD-Rom.

Hi, I have a Cyclades TS-1000 and I do not have the root password. Is there a way to reset it to the factory defaults.

Well, you don't even have to go to that extreme to recover your root password. Connect to the console port of the TS to your laptop or workstation. Type reboot (as root) and hit Enter. As you watch the boot sequence, pay close attention as you'll need to input characters. Specifically, when you see "Linux PPC Load", press the space bar a couple of times and type out the word single and hit Enter. If you did it in time, you should see a hash (#) prompt without requesting a password. From here, type the command passwd and hit Enter. Choose your password and confirm it. Don't forget to perform a signal_ras hup followed by saveconf to ensure your changes are activated immediately and are saved to flash memory (non-volatile state). From here type reboot again and you should be back in business.

Regards,
John

Identifying Your Router's IP Address
You should have now received an IP address from your router. To view your IP address information do these two steps:
  1. Start > Run then type CMD then press Enter.
  2. Then in the command prompt type ipconfig /all
If you see your network interface with a list of IP addresses(should not be all 0.0.0.0's or 169.* addresses). If you got an IPstarting with 192.168.* or 10.* you are doing great! If not, verifyconnections or reboot computer. Observe the Gateway IP Address. This is the router's IP address. It may be one of the following, test in your Web browser:
http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.0.50 or http://10.0.0.1

Once you see a login prompt, you need to log in with the default routerlogin. Usually they are a combination of "admin" and no password or"admin" for the password and no username " or "admin" for username and"password" for the password. Alernatively, you can search Google withyour model number and it should yield you some useful information onyour router including the default login/password.

Then when you are inside it, you should go to the LAN section andenable DHCP (if it already isn't). For security you may limit theamount of addresses to the number of computers (you don't have 254computers, so why allow 254 computers addresses?). For example, I allow3 IP addresses on my network to be issued, since I have a NAS, Laptopand a Desktop.
