I have the same problem and have found no answers from Stanley Bostitch customer service. They redirect to a telephone number that does not answer.
Solution: Don't buy Stanley Bostitch.

I had a similar problem with a Stanley Bostitch 02011 electric stapler. I have two of these and after many years of heavy use, both of them started acting up. I like them so much I decided to try to fix them rather than replace them. I was able to fix both of them!! If your stapler works once after you plug it in and then doesn't work until you unplug it, wait for a long time and then plug it back in, I can fix this for you, guaranteed. "The staples load from the rear of the stapler. At the back end of the is a piece of black plastic that extends beyond the end of the stapler. This device holds the staples inside the stapler. To open the area where the staples are placed, push this extended button and lift up on it. The spring device that holds the staples inside the stapler will then slide out. Place a new strip of staples inside the stapler on top of the two metal guide rails. Then insert the spring device to lock the staples in place. The stapler is now loaded and ready to work. Hi Diane,

If you look at the back of the stapler, there's a bright red button. Push this in and slightly lift up at the same time, then magazine is withdrawn. Feed a strip of staples in and replace the pusher unit.

I HAVE A BOSTITCH NARROW CROWN AIR STAPLER AND THE STAPLES ARE NOT GOING FOREWARD FOR THE ROD TO DRIVE THEM IN. IS THERE SUPPOSED TO BE A SPRING BEHIND THE STAPLES TO MOVE THEM FOREWARD. PLUNGER COMES...

what you are looking for what they call a pusher assembly.
Bostitch company uses Amex(SP?) for their replacement parts.
