the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Where do i put hinternet connection cord at?

1. Go to Best Buy. Get a Linksys wireless router. Hook up your internet to the slot in the back that says INTERNET. Then attach an internet wire into slot 1. Plug the other end into your computer. Repeat with any other computers. Put the CD in any computer hooked up with the Linksys. Set it so wireless connections are allowed and set a password. Use the internet channel, wait until your Linksys pops up, and enter you password. You're good to go.

Note: I was talking about this Linksys: http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/supp...

2. Get a $40 Wi-Fi adapter and hook it up to your computer (assuming it has internet). After setup, You will have Wi-Fi, but it has a tiny range. I recommend the router. The router has a MUCH larger range and costs $20-$120 depending on how fast and how large of a range you want. Any router will work as long as it's wireless.

Router not hooked up properly

Router setup
If you are using the cd that comes with the router, that is the problem. You do not have to use the cd. Go to the control panel and un-install the program that the cd installed.
then:
Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.
Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Software won't install, keeps getting a #322 error.

Hi -

Reset you Linksys to factory default,
press and hold the reset button for a few seconds, at the rear.

Then, connect via a cable (NOT WIRELESS, use your perent computer) and set your security again.
Remember admin password :-)
then set the security on your other computer with the same as the router

Then, I recommend downloading the latest firmware and install that.
Download the latest firmware from here:
http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Download_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1115417109974&packedargs=sku%3D1121874580098&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper
Need additional help write a comment, and I´ll be back :-)
Other vice, vote "FixYa" if this was sufficient.

I cannot link my router and stay plugged in to DLS

Linksys has a software program at their website called Easylink Advisor. Have you installed it yet? I had to and it has helped keep all of our computers online and networked. All desktops and laptops in the house stay connected share files and one printer.
