Could be a couple problems, first the blade could be bad, the tires that are on the wheels, a loose axle bolt or the frount housing might be bent. First try another blade and watch for which pulley it rolls off of. Next try to wobble the pulleys and if you can the axle bolt has loosened, I use an impact driver to lock them in place along with loctite. Next if the above are OK check the front housing for being bent (that is a common thing) from the housing hitting after cutting a piece of steel. Let me know if you need more assistance.

Why does my blade keep jumping off track on my black and decker 7 1/2 band saw

There are few reasons why blade jumps off, you may have a poor weld on the blade. Tension could be too tight or too loose. Make sure that the blade tracks properly. I advise you to watch videos about tuning up a band saw or check some informative blogs on bandsawblog.com. I purchased my blades on sawblade.com , check them out if you need any.

Jammed my 6230 bandsaw during a cut and now it won't start. Are their fuses I can replace?

Go to Milwaukee Tool website and try to check if you can download a manual or electrical diagram there. You can call or email them. Check the motor capacitor.
Are you using an old or new band saw blade? If it's old/dull, try different blade. If it's new, the weld might be really bad. Old Blade and Bad weld can cause the blade to jump off. I purchased band saw blades on www.sawblade.com . Great quality blades; they have porta band blades. Call them.

Blade falls off when started. cant seem to tighten blade enough to keep it on

could be quite a few things, first try another blade and try and notice which pulley it rools off of first. If the back pulley look for a loose axle. If the front also look for a loose axle, bent housing ( from hitting work) or the shaft that tightens the blade might have a bent tang. If the front seems to be a problem you can loosen the axle and shim the backside, Also look at the condition of the tires for excess wear.

How do you keep the blade on the wheel? Mine keeps coming off. It is a Rockwell product. The blade came off while I was using it and I can put it back on both wheels but as soon as I turn it on, the...

Hi,
Sounds like it could be quite a few different things. My suggestion is to go to you tube and look at Band Saw setup. I haved viewed the one from the wood whisper and it covers set up in detail, there are also other videos that may help.

Sounds like a setup problem - wheels, tires, guides, and even blade tension can cause this.

Does the blade track true when turning top wheel by hand?(unplugged of course)
Is the blade tension correct?
Are the tires in good shape?
Are the guides and back up bearings set correctly?

I hope this will get you headed in the right direction.

Saw blade jumpes off at motor pulley on horizontal band saw

It is probably not tracking. you need to back off the guides, get the blade to track in the center of the tire by hand. Then torque it up a bit till it twangs, Then pull the guides up the blade and just touch it, don't push it at all, the bearings too. This should track and not jump off. If it does, then one of your wheels is out of whack, check them with a straight edge with the blade set. See if they are in line. One of the bearings could be bad. Check it out.

1/8'' blade keeps jumping off wheels on Ryobi BS 900...!! Checked wheels for alignment and both are square to each other. TRension seems right, although I can't find manual to confirm proper tension....

I found a manual online, however it did not give specifics on blade tension. I do know that the blade has to be pretty tight and that it the blade should be just touching the bearings on the back. I hope this is enough help, if not let me know and I'll see what else I can do.

8 inch delta band saw that cant keep the band in place in use

The rubber bands on the metal wheels are called tires, and if they are cracked, they may very well be crowned and causing the problem with the band coming off.

To test, remove the back guide (as opposed to the side guides) on the top and bottom guide sets (above and below the table.). Put a blade on, and see if it will stay on. If it doesn't, replace the tires. If it does, reinstall the back guides and make sure they do not touch the back of the blade when the saw is running. There should by about 1/32" between the guide and the blade.

Porta Band saw blade jumps off

I had this problem on a used model 725 that I bought. Apparently the rubber tires on the drive wheels develop a bit of a memory after sitting for a while with tension on the blade. I tried cleaning the tires to no avail. Then I removed both tires, flipped them over and re-installed. Still not fixed. Then I put only one back to the original position and the problem was solved. Other than the frustration of trying several times, I was out nothing and I got quite proficient at taking the blade in and out. The saw has worked fine ever since. I hope this simple (and free) solution works for you.

Blade width usage

Blade Width is important when purchasing a band saw. Most saws accept narrow 1/8" blades for cutting detailed designs and tight curves. Better saws also accept wider blades. Wide blades don’t flex as much as narrow ones, but they make accurate straight cuts in thick stock quicker. There are also some wide blades available that can cut metal.
