Only a hard drive can contain the data. Other storage mediums are CD, USB flash drive and cards. If your system has any of these, you will easily spot and remove them.

Turning to the hard drive, a computer can have more than one installed so be sure to remove each one before giving it to the other person. No hard drive means NO information stored so be assured.

How do I fix a problem were a tower computer won't see the slave hard drive.

It sounds like both drives are trying to be the master on the cable. Have you tried setting both drives jumpers to the CABLE SELECT setting. This allows the BIOS to individually identify them and you specify in the BIOS which is the primary boot drive.

Remove write protection from my LG External HDD HXE4 3.0 500GB

Using an external hard drive is a convenient way to transport files from one computer to another or share files with a co-worker or friend.
Activating copy protection, otherwise known as write protection, on the files that you place on the external hard drive is a good idea, as it will prevent that data from being altered inadvertently when connected to another machine.
Remove copy protection from your files when the external drive unit is again attached to a trusted PC and you wish to change the structure of the files.

Connect the external drive to your computer system.
Right-click "Start" and then click "Explore."

Click the external drive on the list of available devices.
Right-click on the copy protected files that you wish to unprotect status and click "Properties."
Uncheck "Read-only."
Close the Explorer menu and proceed to edit your files as desired.

My arrow keys fell off and i cant use them any help

If you still have your arrow buttons, try pressing them back on. Most keys simply pop in and out.

I learned this the hard way when a co-worker decided to play a prank on another co-worker...she popped out the letter buttons and replaced them to spell something I cannot remember.

If you no longer have the buttons, try the tab or if your mouse has the middle scroller, push that and you can move in any direction on your screen.

My sony vaio d screen sometimes go black

Sounds like the Monitor or Video Card might be going bad. Try plugging another monitor on the computer to isolate the problem. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and plug it into the computer. If the Borrowed monitor works without going black, then your original monitor is bad. If the Borrowed monitor goes black like your original monitor, then your video card is going bad.

I knocked the computer tower over Now it is saying Re-boot over and over

If you knocked the tower over while it was running, there is a really good chance you have crashed the hard drive. They can stand quite a bit of vibration when powered down, but are quite sensitive to any vibration when turned on. I'm afraid you need a new hard drive. And put the tower where you can't kick it!

HP laptop zv5000 will not boot.

The "Bootmgr is Missing" is basically telling you the Partition/s have either become Corrupt or Deleted. If you have more then 2 hard drives, check in the bios to see which one is set as master/slave, and also check the Boot Sequence order. Doubt whether re-seating the memory will do any good, as you would not evem get the Bootmgr is missing error if the Memory was unseated, You just need a clean install of windows put back on there.
