In case you brought it from US and didn't use a manual stabilizer to bring down the voltage to 110 and plugged it in India in that case the power supply for the wii is blown and you would need to get it repaired because in India the voltage used is 220 V as compared to US and some other countries where the voltage is much less than 220V.

Bought in US, brought in India, Not getting ON. Epson Workforce 520

If you've plugged it at power socket, here in India, be sure, the main power supply regulator section circuit [SMPS circuit] got damaged. Contact the authorized service center for Epson.

I stay in India and bought a wii console from Singapore . Recently bought Mariokart game ( with Wheel ) from Dubai duty free . The wii console cannot read the disc - what can i do to make it work ?

If the disk is dirty, you may try to clean it. Rub a small amount of toothpaste gel onto the disk with your fingers, rinse with luke warm water, and dry thoroughly before putting back into your Wii.
Verify the problem isn't with the Wii itself. Make sure that the Wii you purchased will play a different game. (Wii Sports would work fine.)
If the game disk is a pirated or burned copy your Wii has to be modified to read those disks.

I bought a new nintendo wii from america and when i used for the first time in india there was a power fluctuation and bam my wii is not working. Can you pls let me know what is the problem?

this person seems to have a similar problem: http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071117124035AAO6gOT

I think you probably put too mush power into the wii. USA uses 110V instead of 220V so you may have fried the wii or (hopefully) only the power supply.

i believe the voltage in India is in the 230-240 volt range here in America around 110 volt if that is the case you might need to talk to the Nintendo repair center http://www.nintendo.com/corp/distributors.jsp
i wish you the best of luck

I too have the same problem

Well like you said, USA and India.

Did you check the power voltage from usa compaired to India? You might have just blown your system if you didn't pay attention to that.

It's not recommended to take outside of usa, but if you do, you should have bought a power converter/adapter.
