If you have a USB memory stick (Flash Drive) you can copy the contents of the CD to that and then run the setup program from there. If you don't have a PC with a CD drive you could ask a friend/colleague to copy the cd onto the stick for you.

Toshiba c655: chek cable connection! PXE-MOF:Exiting Intel PXE ROM. No bootable device--insert boot disk and press anz key

Maybe the cables are not connected, they may be disattached to the hard disk or optical drive. You can try opening the bottom of your laptop, it usually has a hard disk vent, when you unscrew the cover, you'd see the hard disk, and you could connect it. If this doesn't help, the boot manager of the OS might be corrupted, you should insert your setup disk and choose start up repair.

How do i get on line

first you must have an ISP Internet Service provider which will provide you with a modem and leads you can choose either a dial up,usb,or an ethernet connection to connect to the internet or if you have a laptop you can choose a wireless usb modem which can work on a desktop aswell once you recieve the modem just insert the disk provided and follow the prompts to set up your new internet connection
during the setup process you will be asked for a password I suggest you make a log of all pass words used outside of your computer incase of memory lapses
hope this helps

How do i connect the netbook to my wireless network

It depends on the OS you're running. Basically, go into the Network Wizard and setup the new connection properties. It's different for Windows XP versus Vista and Windows 7.

Yes how you connect to the internet with your sylvania 7" netbook what programs you use to connect to the internet

Make sure your DHCP routers LanIP is setup as 192.168.1.1(nothing else will work). This is needed for wireless or wired access. On the Sylvania netbook press fn-F9 keys to turn on the wireless access. click and launch the wireless icon on the bottom of the screen and choose your wireless network from the information tab and click connect. Look at the connection status below the wireless list.

Toshiba NB 205 connects to router but not internet

The wireless configuration is set differently on routers, eg the SSID, and encryption. You need to configure the wireless LAN card in the laptop to connect/communicate with the different routers.
Some wireless LAN card allow you to setup different profiles/settings for different wireless routers. Eg one setting for the office and one for home, which allows easy connection to the Internet by selecting the appropriate profile/setting.
