Re: I WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE MY EXCEL FILE IN READ ONLY...
Amjbritto,
There are two ways to do this, depending on what extent you want to protect the spreadsheet.
Windows Read-Only method:
- Save and Close the Excel file.
- Using Windows Explorer, locate the Excel file in its folder.
- Right-click on the file name
- Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the drop-down window.
- Check the [x] Read-Only box and [OK]
- * DONE *
Excel "Protect" Method:
- Open the Excel spreadsheet that you want to protect
- On the top menu, select [Tools]
- Click [Protection] on the drop-down menu
- Select [Protect Workbook]
- Check [x]Structure and [x]Windows
- Enter a password if you wish, but remember it!
- Click [OK]
- Save and close the spreadsheet and test the protection.
- *DONE *
Thanks for using FixYa.
