Question about Philips 60PP9352 60" Rear Projection Television
I have a problem with my 60PP93 5217 tv. The Blue convergence went wako and is unadjustable through the convergence menu. I've been reading about replacing the STK ic chip and some transistors. I'm not sure if I should just do the Chip, or the transistors, or both. Or maybe I should try the chip first?
Also, do you know the location of the transistors.
I would appreciate any help on the matter.
Replacing only the ICs MAY solve the problem, however, many people have also had blown resistors requiring replacement. Also the convergence board should be checked for cracked solder. If you replace the ICs and the resistors are shot, the ICs may blow again almost immediately, meaning you may have to do the repair twice.
You do not have to replace any transistors to fix this convergence failure.
