Unplug the router and find and press the reset button. This is usually a depressed button that you will need a small pointy object to press (on the back of the router). Then start over again.

You need to go into the DLink wireless router's configuration.
Connect a LAN cable from your computer to the DLink's LAN port, open a Browser and enter the DLink's configuration URL (http://102.168.0.1)
login and enter the admin password. Then go to the wireless settings and change the wireless channel.

I have a dlink wbr-2310. My wireless works, but only after a fashion: it seems like whenever I want to use the wireless connection, I have to connect to the router console and simply go to the wireless...

I haven't come across this problem before.
Try resetting the Dlink back to the factory defaults and configure the Dlink again.
Power off the Dlink for a couple of mins. then power it up and press the Reset button on the back of the Dlink for at leasr 5 secs. until the LEDs flash, then configure the Dlink again. If you use different SSID and encryption settings etc., then you need to configure the wireless card in the computers with these settings

I can not connect to my dlink when using other laptops. The other laptops recognize the wireless but can not connect. What can I do so that I can utilize other laptops on my wireless dlink?

since your laptops recognize the network, you need to access the wireless utility (windows or the one that you're using) to configure the connection. you may have to type in the passkey for the network if you're using one.

I have a Sony Vaio laptop and my internet (Time Warner) works when connected directly into the laptop, but will not when the cable is connected to the D-Link to the WBR-2310 router. I think it's...

reboot your modem(power it off for about 10-15 secs), reset your router. make sure your laptop is disconnected from the modem when doing this. Modem needs to catch router's ip address. Start your laptop and search wireless networks. look for your d-link router and connect. Now this is assuming you didn't firewall your router, which in tun you will need to enter your key to connect.

Unable to connect to internet

The IP address 192.168.0.1 you use with your browser is not to get into the Dlink WEB page, it is to get into the DLink router configuration, to set up the router and wireless security eg. network SSID, turn off SSID brocast, WEP/WAP encryption, MAC address filtering etc.

I want to lower my security setting because I keep getting bumped off the internet. I bought the WBR 2310. will this help the problem? How do I do this.

by what you say, I don't think you configured the router. if you didn't configure the router then you need to take a look at the browser security setting. than may be preventing you from seeing the web page.
The WBR 2310 router configuration is complicated for home user.

Try to bypass the router and connect to your modem. Make sure you have Internet connection.
>If you have Internet connection. connect back your modem to the router.
>access the configuration page of your router.
>If you are given a specific IP by your Internet Service Provider, use that one.
>Login to your Dlink (type in on the address bar 192.168.0.1)
>Click Setup and Internet > Click on Manual Configure
>My Internet connection would be Static IP
>Type in your IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary and Alternate DNS
>Click on Save Setting on top.

but if your Internet Service Provider did not provide you those informations
> Under My Internet connection Type choose DYNAMIC IP
>Click on Clone Your PC MAC address
>Click on Save Settings
>If it ask you to reboot, click on Reboot.

>At the very top click on Status
>Under Status look for WAN
>Under WAN look for IP address
>If you have values beside from zero it means you have Internet connection otherwise, call your dlink manufacturer for manual configuring your router for Internet connection.
