Put a maintence kit in your machine, easy install, everything just clicks in, Every 200 000 prints it should be done, it includes the fuser, all feed rollers, sep pad and transfer roller.
These are great printing machine, they only ever need the MK and on this model a fuser drive gear wears and get noisy, but once that has been done once, it is ok from then on.
KIts seem expensive but they are meant to last 200 000 prints and usally do. These are one of the best most reliable printers in the market.

SOURCE: Document feeder jam
if you open the cover where you feed in the documents to be copied, look on the back side of that cover and you should see a little black plastic piece that dangles from the cover. Make sure first of all that is is there, and it moves freely. This makes contact with a sensor when the cover is closed. And of course make sure the cover is closed tightly. Let me know if I can be of any further help.

SOURCE: HP Laserjet 3050 No paper pickup
If the printer DOES NOT PICKUP paper .
That is a jam also so the places to look are smoth rollers or smoth spots on the rollers.
trays not adjusted properly and if they have it some trays have a coustom/standarsd switch (should be in standard for letter/legal paper

This is a common issue and most times a bear to repair. There is a
sensor flag mounted on the paper feed assembly behind tray 1 which has
a habit of either coming off or the spring which moves it back a forth
comes out of its holder. In any case it is one of the worst repairs you
have to do. Many items have to come off to get to it and getting that
flag and spring on correctly even with the instructions is difficult.
Usually what will happen is you get the 13.20.00 error on power up with
no motor movement and when you open and close the top cover, the motor
will move but the same error reappears. If you are lucky it is just a
case of a shred of paper blocking the sensor flag from moving and worst
case of the flag having come off. You will need the service manual and
check the removal and replacment section on the paper feed assembly and
play close attention to the 3rd page.
sometimes this error also appears if a wrong fuser is installed in ur printer that is not ur model number.... have it checked
thank you have a nice day

Testimonial: "Good answers - unfortunately still no closer to solving the problem."
That is a job by it self. If you don't want to damage your printer, I'd suggest you take it to an HP dealer pay some money and get it first checked and if so be the case that it has to change, let them change it.
