You have a defect in the tube. the green gun has a low emission problem. sometimes you can correct it by running the heater grid above ground. also when it goes green try tapping the front of the tube with a scredriver very gently, carbon build up on the guns can short it to the heater grid.

Condensation on the circuits needs drying off by using the TV. There maybe also contact resistance preblems which needs vibration from the side of the TV to get it working right.

The red, blue and green are ONLY the Video outputs, and connect colour to colour, now, there are Two other connections, again coulor to coulor, usually red & white, that hook up to the Stereo INPUT. So you need BOTH sets to work IE: The Video & Audio. Video: Blue, Red, Green. Audio: Red & White.

Coulor distortion at the top left of the screen

Hello jordan ashe,

This is an indication that the green CRT is having a convergence problem. This might be caused by the convergence amplifier or by the CRT. Does the rest of the picture look OK? and in addition can you supply a picture of your TV so as I can see what you are seeing and develop a proper diagnosis?

Thank you,

You probably have a component breaking down on one of the circuit boards. It would have to be checked out to find out which one. Stargazer
