It would go in the inside unit. Im not real sure what the inside unit looks like cause they're all different but you should be able to take a door off and youll see the old strip, remove a couple screws and wires, just remember where they all go, take the strip out and put the new in and reassemble.

Need owners manuel 2004 keystone 5th wheel camper

Since most campers are manufactured on a limited basis, the manufacturer normally doesn't publish the normaly owners manuals. Most of the time they give you some owners manuals for the components like the AC, stove, refrigerator, etc. but nothing that ties it all together for you.

I have a 1984 Holiday Rambler motor home that I have filled two binders with information on my unit and still don't have it all. How did I do it, by downloading manuals on individual components; copying manual from other owners when we see one; even writing owners that have similar units for sell on ebay. So although what I am telling you is not good news, I think you will find it is accurate and quite common.

My Intertherm heat/ac in my camper does not heat. a/c works great, but no heat. Any ideas??

The electric heat strips inside the unit could be burnt out or the thermistor that contols HI limit could be open.

Trips the breaker on the trailer when the heat strip is turned on

You have an electrical short, it some time forms at the heat strip after years of use the small wires break and cause a short. You need to replace the heat strip, and or it might be a bad breaker. There is really need no other reason for the short.

How can we tell if our dometic rooftop air conditioner/furnace has a heat strip or not.

Hi; If You have a heat pump then yes on heat strips. Does Your RV have a gas heater. If You gently remove the cover some times You can see the heat coils in the metal air flow tube...Also does the compressor run in heat mode ,if not then best guess You have heat strip capability...alpharome416

Heat strip installation

It was quite simple, just installing the heat strip and my model only required removing the grill cover and mounting the element. The other optional installations didn't apply to my model.

thanks,
Don
