You can try to flash the firmware of your mp3 player. It might do thee trick in resolving this problem.
Select your operating system and download the firmware. BTW, the firmware is only available in VISTA. So if your using Win7, select VISTA in the drop down and install it even your using win7, its ok.

Mum pressed some buttons on amp now the amp wont respond to the original remote or the universal remote. buttons wont work, batteries good and lights up. is there a button that blocks ir signal?

Looking at the user guide it appears that the amp has a standby mode.

See not below on turning standby on. Question can you see the standby light flashing.

I would also suggest using function on the amp to remove any possible issues with the remote.

One would expect the system to return to normal operation by pressing the power button again. If not what do you see on the display.

Note:
Press 1 to turn on the receiver. You can also turn on the receiver using 1 on the remote control. When you turn off the receiver, press 1 again. "STANDBY" flashes on the display panel. Do not disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) while "STANDBY" is flashing. This may cause a malfunction.

How to turn off nwz-a826 becuse its not turn off jut standby

To turn the portable player on, press the Play/Pause button until the screen appears. To turn the portable player off, press and hold the Play/Pause button until POWER OFF appears.

To save the battery consumption, the player will do the following:
After turning on the power, if there is no operation or playback performed for about 1 minute, the power of the player turns off.
If there is no operation for a certain period of time while in stop mode, the display turns off automatically and the player enters standby status. If there is no operation for the next 30 minutes, the power of the player turns off.

Sony walkman won't turn off

That's what all Walkmans do. They only seem to go into standby when they say power off. Batteries drain anyway, but maybe it is being switched back on accidentally, so you need to turn the hold switch on. Even then, it is not properly switched off, it just stops things happening like music starting to play. I find this very annoying too.

My walkman switched off when in power save on mode

Hi anuilum,
I think that is what the power saver mode implies. When in this mode, the walkman is supposed to go into standby after an interval of non use or when you're listening to it, but not using the controls. It can be called back from standby generally by a press of a button.
However, if you find it is turning off by itself before at least a few hours of no use, you might have to change the corresponding settings.

My Sony Walkman NWZ-E435F wont turn on at all even when plugged in with my USB

I had the same problem. For at least a week. Try pressing the reset button. The reset button won't delete your music, videos, pictures, etc. Just resets your system. If that does not work then i don't know what else to tell you.
