Sharp EL-1197 piii

The ribbon in my machine jammed and when I replaced the ribbon I don't get clear numbers on my tape. Any suggestions on what may be causing this to happen.

I am going to correct myself in that...i get black marks on my tape now, but no definate numbers....thanks

Guruprinter out of time marks look like scuff marks right? Heavy job to retime.
