Hi.

On most dishwashers E4 means overfilling, naturally to be sure, the make and model of dishwasher is needed.

If problem is overfilling, the appliance will stop with water in the tub after overflow has been detected.

The remedy is tripping the circuit breaker, and with power off drying water from inside the tub. If th(or simal) device, it is also necessary to reach the overfill device and empty water, the device is located behind panel at bottom of the dishwasher.

Here a document.

Regards.

Ginko.

Hi I think that this is the same as Baumatic and Hotpoint. Let me have a look.

    Hi Gerard.

    I have done some research.

Heller is built by GAF appliances, and there is no available service documentations online.

The error E4 is either overflow or insufficient pressure. This are the error codes reported by the several kinds of control boards mounted on different dishwashers.
    Trip the circuit breaker.
Check if there is water under the kick panel at the base of the appliance, and if possible check if the water hose at the back is kinked or blocked.
    Restore power.

Because of the scarce documentation available, I think that the best thing to do is contacting the manufacturer: contact GAF.

    Best regards.

    Ginko.

Note: if when you see the E4, you also hear an humming noise, then I was correct, the machine is sensing overfill and the humming noise is caused by overfill protection keeping the drain pump on.

Hi there

Here are all the error codes and what you should do:

General Error Codes

E1: Water Supply Error
-Display Shows 'E1'
-Water Supply Error occurs when water level frequency does not show changes more than 100Hz or water is not supplied up to the water level presetting for 20 minutes or more at the time of initial water supply.
-To help fix this problem please check the Hot and Cold water intakes, there is a filter screen in each input valve, remove and clean these filters. ** Make sure you replace the filters, they are very important for the operation of the Washing Machine.**
-The error status can be cleared by turning POWER S/W OFF and resuming the POWER ON initial status.

E2: Water Drain Error
- Display shows E2
- In case the water level frequency is 25.5Hz or less in the initial phase of UNB-detecting cycle.
- Water Drain error can be cleared by turning POWER S/W OFF and resuming the POWER ON status.

E3: Over-Flow Error
- Display shows E3
- Over-Flow error occurs when the water level is too high. It can be cleared by turning POWER S/W OFF, turn POWER S/W ON and then run the drain cycle for 2 minutes. Water is drained prior to POWER S/W OFF and it is forced to be drained for 2 min if a frequency of more than 25.24 KHz is detected

Door Open Error:
- Display shows door
- This can fixed by closing the door

E4: Unbalance Error
- Display shows E4
- Laundry load is unbalanced; loosen any tangled laundry.
- If only one item of clothing needs washing, the final spin result might be unsatisfactory and an E4 error message will be shown in the display window.
- Unbalanced error is cleared by POWER S/W OFF and by resuming the POWER ON initial status

E6: Please see "Eb" at end of list.

E7: Pressure S/W Error
- Display shows E7

E9: Water Leakage Error

EA: Tacho Error
- Display shows EA
- This is error can be cleared by turning the power off and then on again.

Eb: Motor Triac Short Error
- Display shows Eb
- This is error can be cleared by turning the power off and then on again.

E6-EB can only be corrected through Service. Please contact Customer Service Department at 1-800-SAMSUNG (option 1-1-2) to schedule an on-site service call for english service.

Hi... I just bought Electrolux Dishwasher ESF2433W. When i first time turn it on, light at "Normal" button keep on flashing with beeping sound. After checking the trouble shooting manual, it actually refer...

E4 Overflow

Sometimes during trasport it is possible that styrofoam float mechanicaly activated overflow microswitch. So, you should check complitely overflow system.

At any time, if overflow micro-switch act and keep for longer than 2 seconds, the E4 would occur. When E4 occurs, the drain pump will run until flowmeter keep motionless for 2 minutes (if the model with the pressure switch (83/63),drain pump would run till the pressure switch reset and continue draining for 60 seconds.) and all the other components will be stopped immediately. At the same time, the buzzer will alarm for 30 seconds and error 4 will be shown. Note: Priority level of E4 is the highest. E4 operation is valid after other error operations have done. When E4 operation has done, all the others are invalid.

Flashing F2

see the details and fix it. God bless you
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
•check the drain filter pumpfor foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

My Singer stylist 7258 is giving an E4 error code. It wont work at all, just give an odd sound and a high pitched sound then stops, flashing E4 on the display screen. It is only 2 months old and I live...

the brand new stylist I just bought at a thrift shop for $15.99 had a sticker on it stating, "Broken, you fix, parts in back"... I got the lady to get the parts in the back, which was the box it came in and all the accessories. Took it home plugged it in and E4 came up. I took of the nose guard with the one screw on the side, reached in and turned the coggs gently, viola, it works great.. The little servo or motor if you will got stuck when turned off in a zig/zag decorative mode. eazy fix, great machine,
hope this helps..

I have a comfort aire pac-121 and the display is reading e4 and the ac is not working. i can't find a manual on line. How can I fix the problem? thanks andy

I have the same model, though several years old, and on mine E4 simply means the reservoir is full. Try emptying the reservoir tank and then turning the power on again. If the drain hose outlet isn't angled down, the water drains into the tank, which will need to be emptied regularly. (For constant use, may need to be emptied several times a day.)

E4 error after attempting to fill and get to temp

This is what I found for the E4 code...hope this helps...and thanks for rating my effort...The Fang.

Machine won't fill or won't fill high enough(LX18, LX30 display shows "E0," "E2," "E3," or "E4")

1.Low water pressure — check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.
2.Make sure probes are clean.
3.No water pressure — main water supply valves may not be working.
4.Drain valve open - turn machine off to drain machine, then on. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the
OFF-ON procedure.
5. Delime machine.

Sounds as though the drain is blocked partially. E4 is the overfill code. Try cleaning out the drain.
