Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

I have a Logik MI4004 alarm clock with ipod docking station. Once the alarm goes off the volume incrementally increases untill it is unbearably loud. I trie don a few occasions to reduce the volume but with no luck. Now i get an ear ache and am worried that it will seriosly damage my hearing if i continue to use it! There is no obvious way to lower the set alarm volume i have various ways and have looked online for help, but cannot find anything. Any help would be appreciated as it is a great alarm clock otherwise and I am starting to get worried about my hearing. Heres a link to the radio so you know which one i mean http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/logik-mi4004-ipod-docking-station-04752968-pdt.html?srcid=867&xtor=AL-50 thankyou Theo

SOURCE: buzzer instead of radio

I have this radio too and from what I have read in a review on amazon suggests alarm does not tune to DAB only FM - very annoying! Contacted Goodman customer care and they suggested it was a problem with a component but maybe it is just the design.

Operating manual for Plain Lazy Alarm Clock iPhone/iPod Speaker Dock

No instruction manuals for the 'Plain Lazy' ipod docking station/alarm clock found on line :-( So after tinkering with the buttons for quite a while, II have worked out how to set the clock. Press & hold the play/pause button & at the same time press the skip back button once....let go of both buttons. Then immediately press the play/pause button again once & the clock numbers will start flashing. Press the skip back button to adjust the hours & skip forward button to adjust the minutes. Press the play/pause button to set!

Wake up with the radio is always set to level 19... I would like to set my radio alarm with a lower volume... my centrios is a Speed to Sound CENTRIOS IPOD/IPHONE CLOCK RADIO I will return this

We also have this problem. Found this info in the product's Q&A on the website: http://answers.thesource.ca/answers/9026/product/1218694/centrios-centrios-ipod-iphone-clock-radio-white-questions-answers/questions.htm

"Ok. there is a way that you can LOWER the wakeup radio volume. turn on the radio (forget about the alarm right now) and go to the station that you want. when you get to the station, you should be able to press the 'skip/fast forward' button on the remote. when you do this, number 5 should show up beside the station #. When you do this, it lowers the overall volume of every volume level, so now level 19 is equal to volume level 9/10, which for me is loud enough to wake me, but not give me a heart attack! so, now when the alarm goes of, the volume is a lot lower. BUT if you want to wake up to your ipod, this method will NOT work, it will still be up at level 19. so when you turn on your ipod, it will be really LOUD. again, this only works with the radio."

Also if you are waking to ipod and not radio this was in the reviews:
"Fooled with it for a bit and discovered that you have to turn down the volume of the iPod first before putting it on the dock. We've tried it a few times just to make sure and it worked every time!!"

Still not a perfect solution, but a great improvement. Hope this helps someone.

I've checked over the manual, there is no explanation, other than it increase increments until it is turned off or the snooze is applied.

Jensen JIMS-225 instructions

while the docking station is in sleep mode or off not playing any music on the remote click the set button twice an alarm clock icon will appear and you use the volume buttons and the skip track buttons to set. To turn the alarm off hold the snooze button down until icons disappear. I lost the english version of my instructions but still have the spanish and can kind of figure out what it says still. Hope this helps
