SOURCE: I am unable to change the time on my phone to reflect the day time savings

You will need to enter programming mode. Here are the directions.
You must be on the main phone on jack 01 to set time. You can determine if your phone is jack 01 by setting the switch on the end of a display phone to PROGRAM and then pushing the number 6 on the dial pad. The phone will read the jack and extension number. When you have determined the jack 01 phone, do the following.

  1. Set switch on end of phone to "PROGRAM" (or push PROGRAM key if you have one)
  2. Dial "0"
  3. Enter year (last 2 digits)
  4. Enter month (01-12)
  5. Enter day (01-31)
  6. Enter day of week (Sun 0, Mon 1, Tue 2, Wed 3, Thu 4, Fri 5, Sat 6.)
  7. Enter Hour (01-12)
  8. Enter Minute (00-59)
  9. Press 0 for AM 1 for PM
  10. Press "AUTO DIAL/STORE" key
  11. Return phone switch to "SET" (or push PROGRAM key if you have one)

There is a music played automatically when phone is not in use. Can someone give us a pix to this. This is a Digital hybrid system (key phone ) model no. 8850D

Since you asked this in the PANASONIC TD category, I'll pretend the model number is not really 8850D, whatever that is.

On your idle phone, press "1". If it's truely a PANA digital phone the music will stop.

I bought a home with the Panasonic KX-t7731 phone system installed. We have a new phone number. I am unable to set up voicemail (although voicemail answers) and I am unable to retrieve my messages. Help!

What's answering the calls, is it the Panasonic system or the central office? When you figure that out, and it's locally, then post back with the model number of your phone sytsem cabinet and whether you dial 107 or 115 ot get into voice mail, or the message is left in the central office.

Having trouble entering speed dials - please help!

Not knowing the specific model of the phone system itself (the PBX cabinet in the telephone closet) I would guess you are using the "personal directory" and it only has 10 number memory and it goes from 0-9. The system directory will give you more mems.

I assume you have the manual. I found it very difficult to follow, very poor. While "on hook" enter the number you want to call. Press "store" or "enter". Enter the name referring to the graphics chart on pages 7 & 8. It is set up for Alpha characters and it depends on which software is installed on your phone. Example: If you want the letter "A" you press the number 2 one time. If you want the number "2", you have press "2" seven times to display the number 2. Use the toggle key to move to the next letter or number you want to enter. When you have finished press "Store". It may take awhile but that's how its done. Not a very good system for the average consumer in my opinion. But that's how its done. I was unable to upload the manual. Time settings

This phone is a proprietary business telephone. It works on several different Panasonic phone systems. You may need to know exactly which phone system you have and the phone's model number will not help. Here is a link to a web site that covers time change on many different phone systems. http://www.tel-programmer.com/time_setting.html
