Hi, this is a common problem with all video games consoles that take cd and the same for music cds.
Most people throw them out when they get scratced and start jumping or in your case wont load the game.
The good news is you can buy a cd polishing kit which polishes the scratches out of the disk.

How it works is you place the cd into a like similar to a cd box but it has three sanding wheels then when you put the disk in you then turn a small handle and the three polishing pads spin round and polish the scratches out of the cd getting the disk to work again.

The problem is finding some where that sells them i know Maplin stock them and sells them but if you have trouble finding anywhere that sells them then the best thing to do is type in in your browser "cd scratch remover" then this will list a load of sites that sell this product.
Its not expensive to buy and its well worth getting one as you can use it loads of times so if in the future you have more problems with scratches then its worth getting one.

Hope this is the help you was looking for i know they work as i use one myself for my ps2 and music cds that get scratched.

Let me know how you get on or if you have any questions.

On any cd the bottom part that the laser reads doesnt have the information and the data on it it is burned into the top part so as you look at a cd and where the writing is on top of the cd if this is scratched and you can see through the disk then it cant be repaired but if its the bottom part that the laser reads from then removing the scratches will solve your problem.
The scratches cause the laser to miss that bit of data thats under the scratch so polishing these out will be the same as having a new cd.

How do I clean dvd in mirra series 2 ?

if you want to clean a DVD or CD, never clean the side where the label is (or could be) Rewritable disks often don't have a label, but if you change the topside you could damage the reflective coating of the disk.
So always clean the under side of a disk. you can use a dry cloth and a little water. If the disk has scratches, you could try a scratch removing set, what is used to remove scratches from acrylic surfaces. But the last I only would use if the disk has serious scratches and you are sure the scratches are causing the errors.

How To Fix A Scratched CD,DVD,Rom,Disk ect

Some time you get a disk that gets scratched and you cant play it, it could be a disk for anything such as a video game system or a dvd. There are many myths to get the scratches out like flushing it in the toilet ( it does clean it).

To remove the scratches you need to resurgace the disk, pretty much scratch a layer of it off. You can purchause a disk resurfacer from places like walmart for about 20 dollars but also some game stores and most stores that sell used cds can do it to.

My game is scratched due to my daughter moving my console

The only soulution is to get a disk scratch remover to rescue the disk. The Xbox scratched the disk because of the lack of anything to stop the disk tilting inside the drive when the xbox is moved.

My xbox messed up my games modenr warfare and 2k11 and it wont play them anymore what can i do about this?

Unfortunately once a disk is scratched there isn't really anything you can do about it. Most of the things that promise to fix scratched disks are fake and scratch them worse. I would suggest buying a used copy of the broken games, and avoid moving your xbox with disks on them. Also, if you have a friend with the same game, borrow the disk, install it to your harddrive, and try to run it with your scratched disk. Sometimes if it is installed to the harddrive it will run even if the disk is scratched.

Gamecube works on all my games but one and it has less scratches than the others

It doesn't matter how many scratches a disk has, it matters how deep the scratches are, and where they are placed. Not all of the disk is used when information is burned on it, that's why even if some disks are scratched, they still work because the scratches don't cover all of the disk.

A pointer: Is the top damaged? The top of the disk (label side) may not seem important, but it is actually the most important part of the disk, for the back of the label contains the game information. If that part is scraped, then you have to replace the disk.

The only solution I can tell you other than to replace it is to tell you to use a scratch remover. Scratch removers are a liquid material which fill in the scratches and allow you to play the disk again. Scratch removers are typically ten dollars(seven euros), or less. You can get them even cheaper online.

DON'T S-Don't go for the more expensive machines, they might ruin the disk even more because they grind the plastic until it's smooth. They can go up to fifty dollars.

Don't put toothpaste on you disks, it can permanently damage your disk.

Don't try to buff out any scratches with any foreign materials, it will damage the disk to unfix-able measures.

Good luck.

DVD freezes when playing on a Sony SLV D300P DVD/VCR

That particular unit is very sensitive to scratched or dirty disks. Remove the disk and make sure there are no finger prints, peanut butter & jelly, or popcorn butter stains on the back side. If there is, gently wash the disk under warm water with a DROP of mild dish detergent, being careful not to scratch the surface. Rinse the disk well and dry with a soft, lint free cloth (like an old cotton t-shirt) again being careful to avoid scratching the disk. Replace the disk and play.

If the disk is scratched, there is little hope of fixing the scratch so the unit can read it.....

Scracth disk is full

The Photoshop scratch disk is your hard drive. Photoshop uses your hard drive as temporary "swap" space, or virtual memory, when your system does not have enough RAM to perform an operation. If you only have one hard drive or partition in your computer, then the scratch disk will be the drive where your operating system is installed (the C drive on a Windows system).
You can change the scratch disk location and add multiple scratch disks from Photoshop Preferences. Many power users like to create a dedicated hard drive partition for the Photoshop scratch disk. Although Photoshop will function with a single scratch disk on the system partition, you can improve performance by setting the scratch disk to be the fastest drive in your system. Other useful guidelines for setting scratch disks are to avoid using the same drive where your operating system is installed, avoid using a drive where the files you edit are stored, and don't use network or removable drives for a scratch disk.
If Photoshop is shut down improperly or crashes in the middle of an editing session, this can leave fairly large temporary files behind on your scratch disk. Photoshop's temp files are typically named ~PST####.tmp on Windows and Temp#### on Macintosh, where #### is a series of numbers. These are safe to delete.

If you're getting an error message that the scratch disk is full, it means you need to clear some space on whatever drive is defined as the scratch disk in Photoshop Preferences, or add additional drives for Photoshop to use as scratch space.

PS2 GTA: San Andreas Disk Problems

this shows that your cd is already damaged, the scratches might have hit the critical part. you said that some other cd's of yours have also scratches these are presumably minor scratches. its better if you purchase anew one. a damaged cd with deep scratches can damage the lense of your cd rom if you continously use this it would soon permanently damaged the lens
