SOURCE: canon multipass mp 390 wont print black

FYI: This was Canon's reply to me (for my MPS 390) and it worked !
Dear Doug:
Thank you for contacting Canon product support. We value you as a Canon customer and appreciate the opportunity to assist you. We regret that black ink does not print from your MP390.
The issue may be with the print head. The print head holds the ink tanks.
You can print a Nozzle Check Pattern to confirm whether the inks are being correctly ejected from the print head nozzles and whether the print head is correctly aligned. Please follow these steps to do so:
1. On the MultiPASS control panel, press [Additional Functions].
2. Press '<' (left) or '>' (right) arrow to select [MAINTENANCE].
3. Press Set. [NOZZLE CHECK] will appear.
4. Press Set again and a Nozzle Check Pattern will print. If lines are broken or white lines are present, clean the print head nozzles.
Verify if the black grid pattern prints at the top. If not, then the nozzles may be clogged.
Please follow these steps to perform a Print Head Refreshing for the
1. On the MultiPASS control panel, press Additional Functions. '1. FAX SETTINGS' will appear on the bottom row of the display.
2. Press '<' (left arrow) or '>' (right arrow) to select '3.
3. Press Set. 'Nozzle Check' will appear.
4. Press '>' the right arrow to select '3. HEAD REFRESHING' and then press Set. The print head cleaning takes approximately 1 to 2 minutes to complete.
5. Perform a Nozzle Check Pattern.

5. Check the printout for broken, white lines and uniformity.
If the lines are broken, or white lines are present, clean the print head.
Please follow these steps to perform a Print Head Nozzle Cleaning:
1. On the MultiPASS control panel, press Additional Functions. '1. FAX SETTINGS' will appear on the bottom row of the display.
2. Press '<' (left arrow) or '>' (right arrow) arrow to select '3.
3. Press Set. 'NOZZLE CHECK' will appear.
4. Press '>' the right arrow to select '2. CLEANING' and then press Set. The print head cleaning takes approximately 30 seconds to complete.
5. Print a Nozzle Check Pattern to see if the print quality is improved.
6. Perform Head Refreshing if lines are still broken or white lines still appear. If nozzle check pattern is missing colors, replace the ink tank.
Once you have completed two deep cleanings, please perform another Nozzle Test. If colors are still missing, turn off the printer.
After 24 hours, turn the printer on and perform one more Deep Print Head Cleaning. Once the cleaning is complete, print another Nozzle Test.
After you have completed the Nozzle Test, please let us know the results.
This may be caused by the ink jets in the cartridge print head (the device that holds the ink tanks) wearing out or the ink nozzles starting to clog up. Remove and reseat the print head. Verify that ink has not built up on the bottom of the print head. Please follow the instructions below to reseat the print head:
1. Power the unit on.
2. Open the cover of the printer to bring the print head holder to the center.
3. Remove the ink tanks and set them on a protective covering, such as a rag.
4. Raise the locking lever to release the print head.
5. Remove the print head and reinstall it.
6. Lock the lever back down, gently.
7. Replace the ink tanks. Make sure they securely snap into place in the proper slots.
8. Lower the cover of the unit.
If you have performed multiple print head cleanings but the issue continues, it is most likely that the cartridge print head (the device that holds the ink tanks) will need to be replaced.
If your MP390 is past the one year warranty period, Canon offers two options to assist you, Canon's Loyalty Program or repair at an Authorized Service Facility (ASF).
You are eligible for Canon's Loyalty Program. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a new printer that uses Canon's next generation of technology at a discounted price. To help you get up and running quickly, we also offer free next business day shipping (if the order is completed by 12:30PM).
If you would like to take part in this option, please reply back to us within the next 14 days.
Once we receive your reply, you will be registered for the Canon Loyalty Program and provided with a Discount Code. The Discount Code will be emailed to you separately along with further instructions on how to use the Canon Loyalty program.
Another option is to have an Authorized Service Facility repair your product, at standard market rates for parts and labor. Here is the closest Canon Authorized Service Facility to the Zip code you have
Please call the ASF first to make arrangements to take the unit in for repair. Take the print head, ink tanks and power cable with you to the ASF. The ASF will need these items to perform proper troubleshooting.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide an estimated time it will take for the unit to be repaired. The speed at which the unit is repaired is based entirely on the ASF and their current work load.
We hope this information is helpful to you. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance with your MultiPASS MP390.
Thank you for choosing Canon.

SOURCE: does not print error b200

Helo, found on web. Good Luck :0)

The error code is standard for many of the late model MPxxx printers. The B200 error is "Printhead Temperature exceeded", What this means that while you were printing some document, either one or more of the printhead ink wells ran out of ink and the printing continued. Printhing without ink in the wells will OVERHEAT THE PRINTHEAD NOZZLES and can potentially burn the out. The printer has a built in temperature sensor to detect the ambient temperature and to monitor the temperature of the head. This data is always collected and monitored and saved in the EEprom data and the Service Test print data.

If the error will not go away once you have unplugged the priner for at least 5 minutes, then there is the possibility that you have already burnt out the head. Remove the printhead and use a 5x magnification glass to look VERY CLOSE at all of the nozzles to see if you can detect any possible burnt out nozzle.

It many come down to need a new printhead.

Acribat reader ir 3300 canon printer wery slowprint what is solution

Removing and reinstalling the printer driver will fix most issues such as this.

But if you are finding its just slow for PDF files read on.

If we break down the actual issue you will find that its not so much the actual printing part of the process that is slow, its actually the spooling/converting the document to the printer that takes the time.
Does your printer support PostScript printing ? (PostScript is a printing & imaging standard used by many printers) To find out if your printer does indeed support this either refer to your manufacturers documentation or perform a test page and look to see if you have a PostScript enabled option.

If your printer does support PostScript, make sure you are using its PostScript printer driver, most of the time we generally use PCL drivers, so simply change this.

Firstly we can force PDF files to be printed as graphics as opposed to text, to do this launch your chosen PDF viewer, select Print > Advanced > Print as image

This can also help to increase just about any slow PDF printing issues as it means that a soft font does not have to be created as the file is directly converted to a graphic and then printed as such.

Lower the print resolution (this can be changed from both the Windows print settings and from the printer itself if it has a LCD type panel) If we lower the print resolution most of the time the difference is very small, but it can reduce the actual file print size of the document by up to 300%, which can greatly decrease printing times, especially if your pc or printer does not have lots of memory (RAM)

Make sure you are using the very latest version of any print drivers or your chosen PDF printing program, normally Adobe Acrobat, as this will provide the most stable and efficient platform.

If the printer only has a small amount of memory if possible add more, if possible install a Post Script SI MM.

Bizhub 250 slow to print files

When you ask to print the page are you asking for more the one copy? If you are there is a collate check button next to the requested sets box, in the print dialog box. Make sure its not check. Collating the print means your PC sends a copy of the file for each requested copy. IE: you print one page and ask for six copies, your PC sends the file six times, one copy of the file for each print requested.

Also because your printing from a windows application IE: Excel you should be using the PCL print driver as apposed to a PostScript print driver. The time it takes to convert the file into PostScript for the printer to process it is time consuming.

Publisher cannot print this publication. To print composite CMYK or separations, you must use a printer driver that is set to output PostScript language level 2 or later.

your printer and it's driver is not PostScript capable.

what you can do is, change your Publisher document setting to RGB, all inkjets use RGB.

CMYK is used by Printing Press

Canon IR C3100n copier "NG 853" error

I had a similar problem with my MF6540. I could access the remote UI and see that the printer was recieving information via the print log. It would list all of my test pages that I tried to print but in the print results column I would get an error code NG(##5536) and the printer would not actually print anything. I tried the UFRII driver stated above and everything seems to be working now.
