Question about Jensen JXM900CMB Satellite Radio Receiver

1 Answer

No juice Hello! I am not sure what is going on with my Starmate...that is whats not going on. I thought that it might be the power cord, so I replaced it. Needless to say, it did not work--literally. It won't power up. Replacement time??

Before you jump to the store and buy another radio try calling your satellite provider and speak with tech support. most radios have a master reset button. sometimes it's just a press of a couple buttons and it would turn right on. had the same problem with my ski-fi 3

I have a sirius starmate st2 and it goes on but won't stay on and just turns itself off. Is there any way to repair this?

Your power jack needs to be replaced. You can buy a repair service on eBay. You'll need a new power jack if you'd like to repair it yourself, which you'd need to take from another radio.

I have the starmate st2 and it does not turn on anymore. I changed the fuse in the power cord. still will not power up. I am considering dropping my service. Help!!

What I did, which was a solution I found on FixYa, is to remove the screws from the back of the unit, pop it open, and resolder the 4 connections attached to the power socket.

just try to change the ac, maybe it is the one that is defective, or if your suspicion is right open it and solder the loose contact

No power

You blew a fuse in the car plug. Unscrew the top of the car charger and you will find a fuse inside. You can get replacement fuses at a hardware store or Radioshack.

I have the same problem. It happens even more with a generic universal power cord instead of the Sirius brand one.
