There could be a short in the remote control or were you turn it up on the tv it self. One way to check is to look around the button on the tv or the remote for any food or liquid that might have fallen around those buttons. If you can take these apart and clean were they hit the contact this could help. Thanks

How do I turn down the hearing volume on this phone?

It was very simple for me. Here is what I did:
1. I did a google search for Uniden DECT 6.0 manual
2. I downloaded the manual and searched for the word Volume
3. I looked at the table of contents - and lo and behold the was an entry for Adjusting the Earpiece Volume on page 36.

So you will not have to repeat the simple steps, here is your answer:

Adjusting the Earpiece Volume You can choose from six volume levels for the handset earpiece. To adjust the earpiece volume while on a call, press the up arrow (to make it louder) or the down arrow (to make it softer). The handset display shows the current volume level for the earpiece.

The top volume on my ASUS windows RT tablet is nowhere near loud enough to hear above the car noises. Any way to make the volume control louder?

No unless you use the headphones output plug and use the line in input on the car stereo ( if it has one )

Where is the volume control on the stupid phone, it is nowhere in the menu and no buttons or slider control

While on a call, press down/CID to decrease or up/DIR to increase the volume. (page 11)

To change the answering machine volume, use the VOL- and VOL+ buttons. (page 31)

To change the ringer style, press PROG, use up/down to select "RINGER". Use up/down to select the desired style and press SELECT. (page 9)

Hi. Today my Sylvania LC32OSL1 has a problem this is getting on my nerves. First off, the volume bar out of nowhere, turns down my TV all the way to 0. The bar will not disappear. Then the last thing that...

Please replace the manual control switch ASSY under the screen in side of the front bezel, the volume down switch may be shorted, or leaky.

If it did not fix the problem, then replaced the main board.

Harmon/Karden 2006 Radio/CB/CD Passanger control does not work

The passenger controls on the rear speakers are pretty easy to diagnose.  The wire for Volume up is Pink/white, the volume down is gray/white.  If the Pink/white wire is shorted to ground somewhere, then as soon as you turn on the radio, it will be like having the volume selector pushed up, and it makes sense how you describe it goes to mute and then returns to full volume as soon as you let go.   You don't say what model it is (I doubt it's a Road Glide, gotta be an Ultra), so it's not too hard to get at.  Pull the outer fairing and look on the back of the HK Radio.  There are 2 big connectors, when looking from the front you want the connector on the right.  Pin 23 is down volume, pin 34 is up volume for the rear controls ONLY.  So I would check the continuity to ground at pin 34 first, in other words pull the connector off the back of the radio, take a test lead and hook one end to +12v. Touch the tip to any grounded metal and it should light.  Now touch the tip to pin 34 on the harness side of the connector.  If the test light lights up, you have a short to ground on the pink/white wire.  Now go to the right rear speaker on the tour-pak and disconnect the 6 pin connector and try the test again.  The pink/white goes from pin 34 on the radio and runs through the harness to the passenger controls and nowhere else.  It shouldn't be grounded anywhere.  Let me know what you find out.
