    Thanks for your response!!

here is no reset button on the unit.

This message usually means that there is a short in the speaker wiring. When a short is detected, the unit protects the unit by not "pushing" any power to the speakers.

Can you remove all of the speaker wiring at the back and ensure there are no stray strands of copper wire, then re-insert the speaker wires into the correct holes. Also check all of the wire length to ensure that none of the insulation is damaged. Then power on the system again. If no short is detected, the Push Power Protector error message will disappear.

If the problem still persists, you need to send the unit for repair.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

    Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

VCR Stops on me

Hello Ro Power,

This might be due to the tape sensor malfunctioning. You will need a schematic, and multimeter, and a LED power meter to work on this problem. When the tape loads it causes an LED sensor to become blocked and then the sensor tells the control chip that a tape is present and the the controll chip allows the tape to continue playing, if the sensor does not work the signal never gets to the control chips and since other events happend and triggered the control chip the control chip looks at this as an error and the stops the tape , some units even eject the tape.

If you do not have a background in electronics, I would suggest that you take the VCR to a qualified shop and have them repair it.

I hope this helps,

Thank You,

Recorded album and first track is cut at beginning everytime

you are going from a record(vinyl) to what before you are doing the ipod? a cd or a tape..when recording the tape..remember theres 30 seconds of plastic leader on those reels..need to forward the tape past that leader to the actual tape before the recording begins..the only other thing is that some recordings that are protected will automatically screw up your recording so as to stop copyright infringement..it may be sending a purposely blank signal for a brief period..and thats encoded into the original recording..

How do I tape to tape

you mean to record?first, you must connect the other unit (if you are using two cassette)by using rca plug or earphone plugs.insert the plugs to audio in or aux(this is the unit that will record).if the other unit doesn't have the output audio, use the earphone out instead.time to record.the recorder must be set to tape/aux,(if you are using a unit with radio setting).then, push the play and record button at the same time.don't forget to put in the blank tape ok.then push play to the unit that you want to be recorded.the square symbol is for stop.the arrows pointing left ,rewind.pointing right, forward.the big arrow pointing right is the play and the button next to it is the record button.

Power Problem? My DS55 red standby light blinks at me and won't turn on.

I agree with your diagnosis. If one channel quit and the unit now ocassionally won't output at all then the amp is going into protect. Have it serviced.
