Question about Refrigerators
I am having problems with my subzero 550 refrigerator. the freezer seems to be ok but the temp in the refrigerator temp is not cold enough, and the refrigerator door has lost its suction,it used to be tough to open the refrigerator door but since temperature problem door does not shut tight either, had a company out and the condenser was very dirty so cleaned but problem still going on,dont know if we want to sink to much money into fridge due to age,can you guys give me some ideas of what the problems could be.
IF YOUR CONDENSER COILS WERE DIRTY JUST CLEANING TO OUTSIDE OF THE COILS WILL NOT CUT IT YOU WILL NEED TO BLOW AIR THOUGH THE COIL TO GET ALL THE DIRTY OUT OF THEM; USE A SHOP-VAC THAT BLOWS OR A CAN FO COMPRESSED AIR BECAUSE THOSE COILS ARE ABOUT 4 INCHES THICK AND DUST MAY STILL BE TRAPPED. IF YOU STILL HAVE PROBELMS AFTERWARDS CALL A SERVICE COMPANY TO LOOK AT IT UNLESS THE RF IS 22 YRS OR OLDER, SZ RF 650 WHICH IS TODAYS EQUAL RUN ABOUT ABOUT $5500 TO $6200 INSTALLED SO YOU WILL BE BETTER OF FIXING IT THE AVG. COST OF REPAIR IS 225 TO 1500. MASTER APPLIANCE TECH.
