Whirlpool Dryer drum will not turn when turned on

It is very possible the belt that runs around the drum and motor has skipped off the pulley. remove back plate if possible, or lay it on its back and remove bottom plateto have a look. It may be just a case of relocating the belt back onto the pulley or if belt is broken a bit more surgery to replace the belt

Wil not start dried fine till stopped checked everything and it gets power but the switch is that t or have skipped something?

Sounds like your problem may be a broken belt, or the belt may have slipped off of the motor pulley, or idler arm pulley or a faulty motor.
If you have to check/replace/repair your drum motor, drum seals, belt, rollers, etc.
If replacing drum seals be sure to use a good grade of weather proof cement to hold the seal/s in place, some seals are furnished with the cement to glue it in place.
Note: This method works for most front loading machines.
Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer. Be real careful not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch or other electrical connections.
Remove the lint filter and the screws that hold the filter housing.
Then remove the top of the dryer.
Note: Some of the tops tilt backwards and do not have to be removed completly.
Remove the front of the machine, this will expose the belt and drum, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket with pulley, and motor with pulley. Pay attention to the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt and drum.
Sometimes the belt will slip off of the idler arm or motor causing the drum not to turn.
Note:The way the belt goes back on is, as the belt comes off the drum has to be doubled (pushed together to form a loop) and goes under the idler pulley then to the motor.
While you have the drum out, I would recommend that you lubricate the drum rollers at the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil. This will save you a problem later with the rollers getting noisy, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them this will cause a thumping type noise. You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them.

LG dryer Model DLE3777W Very loud & rumbling, Drying times longer and not spinning as fast

Loud and rumbling usually means that at least one of the drum support rollers is not turning freely. It is a bit of work to replace them.
1. disconnect power to machine. 2. remove top by taking 3 phillips head screws out of back edge of top, then standing in front of machine, use palms of hands to sharply push top back about 2 inches and lift off. 4. remove control panel (you do not have to disconnect wires to it, just lay it on top of machine.) 5. remove screws at 4 and 8 O'clock positions behind door, screws along top edge of front panel, electrical plugs to light and door switch, and by tilting panel forward, the plug near the bottom for the sensor, allowing the front panel to be removed and set aside. 6. remove 2 phillips head screws from each side of drum support, allowing support to be lifted up about a half inch and removed, giving access to the front support rollers. 7. Release belt and remove drum to access rear drum rollers. 8. replace offending rollers and re-assemble.
I've skipped over a few minor steps which should be obvious as you go.

Motor runs fine--but drum "skips" and does not

Hello, if you mean the motor runs fine without the drum in place then it could be that the drum is not properly seated on the small motor shaft, also alot of times i see that the motor runs fine but once the drum is in place it skips and does not move due to the gear and shaft inside the motor being slightly craked or broken. If the drum is seated properly than the motor must be replaced.

Kenmore dryer model 110.63112100 drum does not turn

Check both of your circuit breakers if the dryer is electric. Though the heating elements are 240v, the motor and electrics are 120v and connect to only 1 side of the plug. The breaker for that side may have tripped.

When you press the start button on the dryer, are you able to hear a motor turning (humming) faintly? If you can, and the drum doesn't turn, this is an indication that the belt has broken, jumped off its track, or the tensioner / idler pulley is either broke or skipped over the belt.

Humidifier drum Honeywell HE120 is not turning.

This happened with my humidifier as well. When the mineral deposits build up to the point where the drum binds, and is difficult to turn, the gears on the motor will strip. The clicking you hear are the ends of the stripped teeth of the motor gear rubbing up against the mating gears. Suggest you pull the motor - just remove the wire nuts from the control unit (replace wire nut over the exposed 24 Volt wire on each as you do this), then loosen and remove the nuts on the inside of the unit holding the motor. A number of manufacturers offer 'clock motors' than have a 1 rpm speed, and flat slot to receive the drum spindle. I used a Loeb motor which is commonly available in hardware stores, and had to insert a couple of small washers as standoffs, so the coupler was the right distance from the drum spindle. Reattach the controller wires, and you're done.
