How can i install VIA CBP4.0 modem driver in Windows 7 (its not competible) any other ways i can do that?

You will have to download the Windows 7 drivers from the manufacturer of the modem.

If your router is connected via the Ethernet port no drivers are necessary.

If you don't have a good reason to use the USB port, please use the Ethernet since it's much faster.

The Connection Manager installed from the USB modem does not include Windows 7 Drivers.The Connection Manager M03 does include Windows 7 drivers.

For Windows 7 support do only one of the following two options:

a) Update your currently installed Connection Manager using the Windows 7 driver tool or...

b) Install the new Connection Manager (M03) after un-installing your current version.

Your device drivers aren't compatible with windows 7. Can you connect to the internet via cable?? If yes run windows update, this should find updated drivers to run with windows 7

If you are using USB connection to connect to the modem, you need the installation disc. If you are using NIC port (network port), you do not need the disc.

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. If its connected via ethernet you may not need an updated driver of the modem but and updated driver of your LAN card. If its connected via USB then yup try the manufacturers website for the modem divers

I'll recommend you to directly try Driver Detective and let the software have a free scan to automatically detect & update the missing drivers. This way things can be much easier & efficient. Also you don't have to risk install wrong drivers which might cause severe system issues.
