SOURCE: my cooler is blowing very slow can hardly feel the air

it could be any of three things.

1. its a variable speed motor and will not blow hard unless you have an extreme cooling need (5 degrees or more away from set point)

2. You have collapsed duct work.

3. Dirty evaporator coil, or filters preventing proper air flow

SOURCE: bought open box product didnt come with owners manual. Just wondering what the evaporate option does on it. Does it make it blow colder air or no

The Evaporator button on TheACS120 A3R starts the blind cloth rolling through the water reservoir to help the cooling process(with the ice packs in the water for a cooler effect) by pulling air across the wet blind cloth the air will be cooler. This not an Air Conditioner,it is an evaporative cooler aka... Swamp cooler. There are no coils because this type of unit uses no refrigerant.

Hope this info was helpful

Need parts, pump for a ED630J adobe swamp cooler in las vegas, nevada

A swamp cooler PUMP is not really model specific. They are basically small submersible pumps. Contact ANY swamp cooler dealer in LV, tell them you have a 4500 CFM unit and need a pump.
The pump part number for this size cooler is: PN 110436 (there are several alternates)

Contact these folks and tell them what you need:
National Cooler ' Swamp Cooler
3046 Vegas Dr.Suite 1
Las Vegas, NV 89106
(702) 638-8800

If they can not help you... just look under cooling and air-conditioning in the yellow pages and find a dealer near you. This pump is common to nearly every brand in LV. You can most likely buy one at the local home depot, menards, or lowes.
There is also a Little Giant CK-5 "UTILITY"pump that is used for swamp coolers.

I have an evaporative cooler: vulcan bonaire. the only control buttons which appear to be useful are: on/off, cool in the 'appliance' window, and cool in the 'mode' window. i have a feeling that this is...

Hi and welcome to FixYa. The principle of operation of an evaporative cooler is to provide cooler air via evaporation. The evaporation process is achieved by water being pumped over very porous pads with air is drawn through the pads. Most all evaporative coolers unless connected with a centralized heat / cool system only have an on / off & cool function. "On" is fan only (air circulation while using outside air being drawn into the home) and "cool" turns on the pump to pump water over the pads for evaporative cooling. Hopefully I did not confuse you with my answer.

Happy New Year and thanks for choosing FixYa,

Hello, I have just bought this product and it came without the manual. I just wanted to know where to put the water.

Air conditioners don't require water. Could this be an evaporative cooler? If you can find a model number and brand name it might help solve your problem.

Bought open box product didnt come with owners manual. Just wondering what the evaporate option does on it. Does it make it blow colder air or no

The evaporator button turns on what is similar to a conveyor belt on the back of the unit. The two rollers, one at the bottom of the tank and the other is above the blower, is just like a conveyor belt, but instead of a black belt it's a white absorbent cloth. When turned on the rollers start moving the white cloth in a rotation into the tank at the bottom that is filled with water and two ice packs (you get 4 w/ it) and I put in a tray of ice cubes at night. . As it goes down into the tank it absorbs cold water and as it goes up the blower is drawing in cold liquid molecules from the white cloth, then the cold liquid molecules are drawn through the blower and out the front of the unit. This conveyor system does remove so you can remove the tank to add or change the water. This is also a filter on the back. When the Evaporator is off the conveyor just is not on. I hope I made any sense, lol. I am not a technical writer and spent 15 mins trying to explain it. I hope I helped.
I just purchased one at WalMart. I realllly like it. I have a room w/ no windows. One little air conditioner at the end of the apartment so I get none of the cold air. I heard about this so I got it. I love it! At night I don't have to have all these fans that stiffen my neck and makes it sound like I am in a airplanes turbine. Just this baby with two frozen packs at a time. I put a tray of ice cubes also at night. You do not feel water on you but it's definetly much cooler then a fan. Especially in humid conditions. People who say it sucks or does not work. They probably expected to get a stand alone air conditioner for $80 instead of $300.

The customer service # that came w/ mine is 866-876-4332 9-5 cst M-F or MideaUSA@aol.com
