Automatic thread cutter is not working. Juki cp-160

I am confused as to why one place on this says Juki cp-160 and one says DDL-8500-7
If it is the DDL, my most common problem with my knives that cut the threads have become jammed after I either broke a needle or had a thread 'nest' underneath from something I did wrong, like not getting my bobbin case in good before I started to sew.
1. Remove your throat plate (the silver or black plate that covers your feed dog teeth, may sometimes have lines on it to allow you to measure your seam allowance as you sew) that is held on with two screws.
2. Use a bright light to look into your machine under the plate and see if you see broken needle parts or a thread nest. If so, remove them with tweezers or a small pair of needle nose pliers. If you solved the problem, you will hear a small click as the blades return to their proper places.
...Then you can simply reinstall your cover plate and begin sewing.
If the above didn't work:
Your cutting system is made up of two pieces. A moving knife that looks like a tiny silver bird the size of a dime and a stationary knife that looks like the letter L backwards. If either is broken, you should have a repairman fix it. If you have had your machine and sewed alot you may also just have dull knives but I would imagine that they are either jammed or broken.
Good Luck.

A Yamata Industrial model 03914 has not been used for a few years and now when I try the motor cuts off.How do I get it to work?

*Try to blow out the motor with hard, pressurized air to remove dust from the brushes.I don't know if the motor was working or not "a few years" ago.
*Remove the belt off of the pulley to the motor. Try to see if it will run.
*If it runs - Lubricate the pulleys and probably replace the belt. Make sure the belt is aligned with the motor. As the motor is running you will need to align and adjust the stress on the belt. If these are not accomplished the motor will be stressed and will possibly be destroyed.
*If it doesn't run or stay running - Replace the brushes and possibly circuit breaker (if it has one-I'm not sure). Also, look at the cord all the way up and down to see if there are any burn marks. If so then fix the electrical problem.

Will only make very small stitches even when set on 4.

With no make or model, it's guessing. First remove throat plate under presser foot that needle passes through, check for lint on feed dogs and in between feed dog teeth. Next l would oil feed dog mechanism, turn hand-wheel with throat plate removed and look for parts that rub. Lubricate with sew machine oil. Hope it helps.

Broken feeder plate

It would be called a Needle plate or Throat plate. Good luck finding them, I've never seen anything in the domestic machines... and industrial machines are just as difficult to find. Check with whomever you purchased it from. Perhaps they can direct you to a parts place.

The fabric does not feed properly.

Remove the throat plate and clean out the lint in between the feed dogs (teeth). Make sure the throat plate is not bent downwards where the needle goes through. Also, after removing the lint turn the machine over by hand, the feed dogs at their highest point should be about 2mm above the throat plate.
Also, try this link, there are many free books.
