Projection sets have two very common problems.
The first common problem is convergence
These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.
When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.
Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...
*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound
Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.
Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....
*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.
The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs. To get fixed either call in a local TV repair company or goto sites such as Tv Repair Kits to get a repair kit with instructions. Here is there link.
They have put together complete kits for most models that include the parts, step by step photo instructions, repair assistance, etc.

SOURCE: I bought new WD-60638 mitsubishi
You may confirmed if the remote is working or not, point the infrared emitter directly on the screen of digital camera, while pressing any button of the remote, take a look at the screen of the camera, you will see the remote infrared flashing if remote is ok. If you confirmed that the remote is faulty you may ask the retailer regarding on that matter and asked them for the replacement. Since I've already checked my link if there's an available original remote, bad news this is not yet available at the market.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.
