I think the problem is from your sender. Is the message sent from a personnel email address or from a corporate address? I asked because where I worked, we could make rules to send messages and sometimes those rules were causing that type of problem.

I reloaded vista and now have microsoft outlook but want outlook express and can not find it on my PC, (gateway GT5228)

Microsoft Outlook Express does not have its own setup program. Outlook Express is distributed as the mail client for Microsoft Internet Explorer. The Internet Explorer setup program includes the option to install Outlook Express. So, download IE latest version and install OE in it.

I need to install mail client to this computer

outlook express came as a default mail client on windows xp. windows live mail come on windows vista. in case you dont need any one of that. you cna use thunder bird or opera or microsoft office outlook.
be handy with your pop3 server address which your isp can provide you. and then you cna use any one of the mail client. just be handy with your pop3 incomming and outgoing server email address.

To install outlook express

Hello Wayne!
I take it you are in possesion of a registered/legal copy of Microsoft Outlook? if so and you have Windows operating system installed on the new P.c. then pop the Disc in the drive and wait.
If it doesn't auto load click start then my computer, on this screen you should see the drive and what is there, click on it and then on either install or explore.
If you open explore look for install file click on this and Bingo Express should then install.
If you are not successful please come back to me with operating system and any other details you come across during the failed installation.
Good Luck!

How do i change the mail program on an acer 8920 laptop. thanks.

There are 3 main email programs

Built in: Outlook express (XP) replaced by Windows Mail (vista)
Outlook (all releases) comes with Microsoft Office.
and Thunderbird from Mozilla (free download)
by and large easyest way is through Internet explorer
Tools:Internet options:Programs and select from the email drop down which you want to use.
Of course Outlook and Thunderbird would have to be installed 1st

Our Outlook Express has vanished from our computer. Can you tell us why and what we can do to re-install it. Thank you, Norman Crites

Click start, Click RUN, type: msimn.exe, Press <ENTER> outlook express should open. If it does, then you can create a new shortcut on the desktop by Right Clicking the blank desktop, Click NEW, Click Shortcut, type the path: "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" then finish the wizard.

If msimn.exe give an error, the go to add/remove programs, Click Add/remove Windows Components, Check the checkbox next to Outlook Express, Click Next and finish the wizard (You may be prompted for your Windows XP CD)

If you are using Windows Vista, it doesn't include Outlook Express, Vista uses Windows Mail for the default mail handler.

Transfering mail setup from Windows xp to a windos vista machine with EasySuite

I'm not 100% sure about vista because I hate it but I can help you copy all of your outlook express data to a CD\DVD disk & your address book. Your network settings for express account is a phone call to your ISP.
If vista's explorer is set up like XP you should be able to copy your data into outlook express.
Open all these folders on you XP system.
User name\Application Data\Identities\{xxxxxxx}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
Copy the Outlook Express folder to your CD.
User name\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book. Copy Address Book folder.
Making sure you have everything.
Open, User name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{xxxxxxx}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
Compair the two Outlook Express folder files. CD will not allow copy of same named folder.
If Vista's lay out is the same as XP than copy Outlook Express folder to Vista.
Suggest you have your current ISP setting /account setup before copying to Vista

Let me know if this works for you!
Good Luck & Kind Regards.
