Question about Samsung 52 in. Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I had the same problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK7zFBBU6p4&feature=related The click click sound was my clue - its a common problem with Samsung. I watched a few of these and was able to see the 4 bad capacitors on my tv, de-soldered and replaced them for under $5.00. Hope this helps. I have never soldered other than a couple of wires on a speaker; so this required some practice. Disconnect the TV for a couple of days to make sure the power down the unit before you touch the inside of the set.
