I would ask what kind of service was done on your system over the period of time from the time you first had it installed? Were there service calls for leaks in your system and were the leaks located and repaired ? When the first replacement compressor was installed was a filter dryer installed? Is your area subject to voltage variations? New condensing units normally are covered for five years on the compressor.

Why does it keep stopping with 1st and 7th light on board?

Modern washers have computers. Even worse, some have the computer built onto the main motor. If so, you must replace the entire motor, and no ''DIY''. Best bet... Buy a rebuilt older ''top-loader'' machine with knobs and no lights. (Get a guarantee there is no computer). Almost _all_ modern appliances of _every_ kind all have computers. They are there for ''efficiency'' (i.e. ''cost less to operate''). The ''catch?'' They cost a fortune to repair, and their lifespan is _way_ less than older machines. (It's a _giant_ consumer scam, all in the name of ''energy efficiency''). // My original Central AC lasted 25 years. My new ''efficient'' replacement system lasted one week past the 5 year _limited_ warranty. I'd rather pay higher electric bills than spend $10,000 on a new system every 5 years. // See my point?

What do the fuse relays under the hood of a 1998 oldsmobile 88 ls control

You have fuses and relays . The fuses are or should br labled inside each cover if still there as well as on the fuse block itself, If not I can look under the hood of mine and tell you. The relays from left to right thats passenger to driver and numbered including the empty spaces as mine hase three on the right and two on the left with three emty slots in between. Now Olds seems to have kept this araingement for some time also my '98 88 has ABS as part of TCS but no relays there and diferent climate controls over the years it is posible you have more or less than are presnt on mine the complete list is as follows
#1 - AC compressor control for the compressors clutch
#2 - Horn relay
#3 - AC blower fan motor on, at low speed on the '98
#4 - AC blower motor off or high speed depending on year, not present on my "98
#5 - ABS pump relay ,not present on my '98
#6 - ABS Main relay also labled as pump relay for some years, not present on '98
#7 - High speed cooling or radiator fan
#8 - Low speed cooling or radiator fan

The motor tries to start with a low hum, but it will not power up. The blades turn easily and the reset button is not out.

If blades rotate freely, then there is no stoppage.
If motor hums, then circuit and switch are good.
If motor will not start, and reset is not tripped, then disposal has gone bad.

Motors slow down and overheat, and then they stop working.
Each time you hear motor humming instead of rotating, the motor is overheating.
All motors stop working some time.

There are no repair parts for disposals.
Drain is not clogged, so sink is usable until disposal is replaced.

I wrote EZ disposal-replacement steps from years when I worked apartment maintenance.

Also take advantage of fixya phone service.
For a price, expert speaks with you over phone while you work on disposal or any do-it-yourself project.
Fixya is always less expensive than a service call.

The problem is with the battery. All Lithium batteries last for around 1000 charges or so. Since the laptop is 2-years old the battery needs to be replaced.
