I have a new Polaroid 46 LCD tv purchased from Walmar on Jan. 16, 2008 that has been nothing but trouble from the start. I have called your 800# 4 times and have 4 different ticket nos. (which Walmart's Store Manager says they have never heard of that many #s.) I feel that I have been very patient in this matter and would like it to be resolved. William W. Helton

We finally reached someone who would listen at Polaroid. They will come next week. They were to come tomorrow (Friday, May 30) but shipped the wrong part. They only had 4 different model numbers and they were all wrong. This comes from having personnel that doesn't speak English which I feel is a downright shame.

There is a black spot in the screen. How do I get it out?

Hello:
LCD TVs have millions of "pixels" that change color to make up a complete picture. Sometimes in the manufacturing process, pixels can become damaged (called "dead pixels"). There is no way for the consumer to fix these. Most manufacturers have a certain number of pixels that are "allowed" to be broken before they will fix it.
You should contact either the vendor you purchased the TV from, or Polaroid support.
You can contact Polaroid Support at 1-800-POLAROID (1-800-765-2764).

Tv is out

Unfortunately, for this TV the solution is to put it out on the curb. This television is what my father used to call a "known carcinogen". Sorry you had / are having problems with it, but you are SO not alone.

Call your store manager directly for any information you need. Just ask for the store manager. If he or she cannot help then call 1-800-WALMART and ask that your concern be forwarded to the District Manager and you expect a call back. My store manager tells me they will stand for you with the warranty people.
