Hello mvadima11, Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa! To answer your question: The white balance isn't the issue on this set, in my opinion.I would be more inclined to believe that someone had placed a speaker or large magnet too close to your television. If you have speakers right next to the set, move them away. If someone set a magnet on the set sometime recently, you will have to rebalance the tube. To try rebalance of the tube, find the largest magnet you can find. Then starting from the outside edge of the tube, go in clock-wise circles, slowly, all the way to the center of the television. Once you have arched the center, pull slowly, straight out. Now turn your color back up to normal. This should fix your issue. Have a great day!

Hi, This is picture tube related problem and we call it incorrect white balance. Adjust Screen Volts of picture tube and control knob wold be located on flyback transformer. If you have knowledge about tv and know that tv contains high voltage and you can take care of that then do it yourself or ask local tv repairman to fix it. Thanks.
non of the blinks are good but here is yours \ \5 times, Diagnosis: White balance
failure (Not balanced) Possible causes: Video out (IC7101, 7201, 7301)
is faulty (CR, CG, CB board), CRT drive (IC309) is faulty (A board), G2
is improperly adjusted. Symptoms of the problem: No raster is
generated, CRT cathode current detection reference pulse output is
I have seen this flashing before, this could be an indication that the picture tube is weak, what happens is that if the white balance is off there is a circuit called akb it monitors the kathode of each gun and if they are not in balance it will attempt to balance it out. if it can't the picture will begin to flash, sometimes in some models the power light will blink 5 times. On some models the power light will only flash if the tv gives up trying to compinsate for white balance and shuts off compeletely. If you see the tv shutting off with 5 blinks then you know for sure it is time for a new set.
Here is the info on your problem. These are problems that have been found in the field.
Found cold solder on IC201 on the A Board. IC201 P/N 875210025 CRT Driver
Found IC9001 on the C Board defective. IC9001 875936083 TDA6111Q/N4 Video Output
White balance failure 5 times 5:0 or 5:1 • Video OUT (IC9001-IC9003) is faulty. • No raster is generated.
(not balanced) (C Board) • CRT cathode current detection
• CRT drive (IC201) is faulty. (A Board) reference pulse output is small.
• G2 is improperly adjusted. (see Note 2)
You do not need that board. You can resolve this problem by adjusting White-Balance. (greenish picture tone)
I think you have enough technical knowledge how to adjust white balance of this TV.
Your system is encountering a hold down issue. Ussually, this is the absence of signals due to malfunctioning parts particularly in the vertical circuitry.it could Eigther be an IC, transistor or a defective resistor. However, it can sometimes be remedied by simply resoldering the loose components in the circuitry.
