Hello,

With a load of clothes in the washing machine open the lid and put a screwdriver or something similar in the hole on the right side to press the lid switch. Put the machine in spin and see if it seems to be slow in getting up to speed or has a slow top speed.

If this is the case you are going to need a clutch band as seen here.

To replace this you have to remove the transmission, the part sits right above it in the clutch housing.

If you decide to repair this yourself let me know and I'll tell you how to access this part of your machine.

Cheers

I have a whirlpool ultimate care 2 washing machine commercial use. it its making a lot of noise I believe when spinning cycle changes as if the brakes are coming on noise gettting worse other than that...

here is one trick to do. put the timer on spin and pull out the timer knob. open the lid and use a screw driver to actuate the lid switch. then with your other hand hold the agitator until the tub gets to a high spin. once the unit is at a high spin then let go of the agitator. let the unit spin for another minute then lift up you screw driver. it should come to a gradual stop and not a sudden stop. let me konw if that works.

Whirlpool ultimate care II will not spin

You said, washer is full of water and will not spin. You hear the lid switch clicking. When you start it on spin cycle and hear a hum, the tub moves a couple of inches and then stops...shortly after it shuts off.

Some reasons this may happen
Washer won’t drain or spin
n
1. Is the drain hose clogged, or the end of the drain hose
more than 72 inches (183 cm) above the floor?
2. Is the lid open? ............Also the lid switch can be faulty!!
The lid must be closed during operation.
3. Is there excessive sudsing?
Always measure detergent. Follow manufacturer’s directions.
4 If you have very soft water, you might need to use less
detergent.

Sounds to me like the lid switch can be faulty!!Then it acts like the lid is open.

Washer won't start spin cycle

sounds like a lid assy issue, can you hear a "clicking" just before the lid is closed, try opening nad closing a few times listening for a distinct "click" if not the machine doesnt think the door is closed and for safety reasons wont spin and drain.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L does not always spin

This unit has a neutral drain transmission. When it first goes to spin it will drain without spinning to ease load on motor. It will then pause motor and when it restarts it then spins.
You probably have a bad timer that is not pausing the motor. Monitor washer from the start of spin cycle to end to see if it pauses then starts again. If not, replace timer.
